[LLVMdev] PHINode containing itself causes segfault when compiling Blender OpenCL kernel with R600 backend
Hi! I'm trying to run Blender using Mesa OpenCL implementation on a radeonsi card. First the kernel didn't want to compile, but that was caused by a bug in it (they were using . instead of -> in 1 place), and after fixing this bug I've got the kernel to compile... ...But after that, LLVM started to crash during translation of IR into shader code with R600 backend.

Fwd: Theora developer question.
Hi Beorn, 1. replace "-v 7" to "--optimize --two-pass --soft-target -V 2000" you will get about 200MB file size with no changes in quality. 2. try to use libtheora ptalarbvorm, it is in alpha state but has some improvements. You can find comparison here: http://people.xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/theora/demo9.html if you use ubuntu 10.10 you can download precompiled libtheora and

Unity3D works. .blend import doesn't
Unity3D seems to be working in wine fairly well, despite a few non-critical problems. One such problem is that when a .blend is imported, Unity complains with "Blender could not be found" and instructs me to "Make sure that Blender is installed and the .blend file has Blender as its 'Open with' application!" I installed the windows version of Blender in wine (first

TimeZone Help - Finding TimeZone codes
I have looked at ?as.POSIXct ?POSIXct and many of the references that are on those pages. I am bewildered with timezones. Is there a way to get what would go into tz="" for making a function that uses POSIXct to be able to be used in all of the timezones in just the united states? This is for both windows and mac... this is the function that I am wanting to use it with

modify and append new rows to a data.frame using ddply
Hi, I have a data.frame that contains a variable act which records the duration (in seconds) of two states (wet-dry) for several individuals (identified by Ring) over a period of time. Since I want to work with daytime (i.e. from sunrise till sunset) and night time (i.e. from sunset till next sunrise), I have to split act from time[i] till sunset and from sunset until time[i+1], and from time[k]

P2Vs seem to require a very robust Ethernet
Now that we can gather diagnostic info, I think I know why our P2Vs kept failing last week. Another one just died right in front of my eyes. I think either the Ethernet or NFS server at this site occasionally "blips" offline when it gets busy and that messes up P2V migrations. The RHEV export domain is an NFS share offered by an old Storagetek NAS, connected over a 10/100 Ethernet.

dbus/systemd failure on startup (CentOS 7.7)

My "solution" now is to simply reboot the server again in such a case, AKA the systemd way :-) > CentOS 7.7 where systemd gets
