Donate NVS 510 and 310 cards
I'm in Europe (at least until the 23rd...) so let me know your address. My motivation is to get them working reliably under Fedora 23 x86 to drive a Dell UP2414Q 4k monitor, where currently my father's PC is experiencing regular freezes. So if you would like the loan of a UP2414Q monitor to go with the cards, let me know too. (The UP2414Q is an interesting monitor to drive since it

sgid bit set on ordinary files mounted via smbfs
Hi, I find that files (not directories) in an smbfs-mounted share always have the sgid bit set. I've looked in the FAQ and HOWTO but didn't see anything. I wonder if someone might suggest a way to fix it. The share is served from Windows 2003 SP2 and mounted on a Fedora 10 Linux machine (samba-client-3.2.5-0.23.fc10.i386) with this command line: mount //wcl-fp1/shared /mnt/shared -t

Building rpm package for Hmisc on Fedora 12
Hi, I'm trying to get the 'xts' library from CRAN packaged for Fedora 12, and one of its dependencies is 'Hmisc'. I have created a spec file for that using R2spec, but building it fails with something in building the manual pages: Warning: ./man/escapeRegex.Rd:22: unknown macro '\backslash' [similar warnings snipped] Warning: newline within quoted string at

R packages in Fedora 18 and 19
I thought that Fedora 18 and Fedora 19 included packages for R. But now I find that yum reports nothing available: # yum install R-devel R Loaded plugins: auto-update-debuginfo, langpacks, refresh-packagekit, versionlock No package R-devel available. No package R available. So I went to check manually in the download directory, e.g.

NVidia Quadro4 200/400 NVS CentoOS 4.4
I've put a Nvidia Quadro card in my machine. It was first detected as Quadro4 200/400 NVS. I have the pigtail for dual monitors. I've tried tweaking the xorg file to get it working, to no avail. So I then downloaded the 9631 version driver from Nvidia. The readme for the newer files said that they didn't support this card. I run the installer, it builds the module, but gets

Anyone interested in borrowing an NVS 440?
I have an PNY NVIDIA Quadro NVS 440 PCI Express x1. It's main feature is it's 4 monitor support. The PCIe x1 port was needed since my workstation is actually an beefy server w/ no x16 slots. Linux support, even when using the binary drivers has deteriorated over the years, especially once the desktops started going '3D'. I went from running on a 4 monitor, single desktop, back

Gart to vram/vram to gart transfers broken on NVS 140M
Hi Nouveau folks, I've been encountering some corruption on pixmaps for a while now, and it seems like the problem comes from the DFS/UTS (Download From Screen / Upload To Screen). In fact, I'm pretty sure the problem comes from there as screenshots are garbled and so does a few more things. I may have time to dig this up, where should I start, is there some documentation on the NVS

Quadro NVS 420/450 regression
Hi Ben, Someone came in to the channel to report that the outputs on the second gpu of the NVS 420 were not being detected properly. Emil tracked it down to the pclass == PCI_CLASS_DISPLAY_VGA check in nouveau_display that you added in e412e95a in order to avoid modesetting on Tesla cards. This can be worked around by specifying nouveau.modeset=1. I think it's a little ridiculous to require

Status of GF108GLM [NVS 5200M]
Yes, GF108 is Fermi (F = Fermi). Reclocking is currently not available for that generation, unfortunately. You should be able to otherwise use your GPU just fine, but I'm guessing it'll come up in the "07" state when it powers on (in the state as-is it appears powered off, which it will do automatically when not in use), which as you can see is a fraction of the total GPU
