Problems with SATA DVD+-RW drive
I just got a Dell Dimension e521 (AMD 64 x2, nVidia MCP51 chipset) and
so far it has been fine. Today I tried to burn some CD-R and DVD-R
disks and have been able to do nothing but make coasters. The drive is
a TSST TS-H653a (Samsung OEM) and does have the current firmware.
Playing back data, audio, and video disks work just fine, but recording
is a different matter.
The drive shows up as

Release 4.4 and MPC51 ethernet controller
When using 4.4 to install on gigabyte GA-M51GM-S2 motherboard
basically an Nforce 410/430 chipset then network is not initially detect to
perform a network install. It let me attempt to manually select a driver
but I
do not see the driver in the list.
After installing the network works and the forcedeth driver is loaded.
Is there a way to get this driver detected or manually loaded?
THanks,

Missing menus in windows after update
Ubuntu 13.10 x86_64 up to date on laptop with nVidia GeForce GTX 765M.
There were some updates that I applied last week, and ever since I have
missing text in some menus and lists. It is especially bad in Claws Mail
and LibreOffice Writer. However, text appears correctly; it's just the
menus where the text has disappeared. For example, when writing in LO
Writer the part of the window where

MCP51 what is the network module name
I have a new biostar motherboard with nvidia chipset.
The lspci says MCP51 ethernet. The module was not detected although
for FC4 installs it says it works.
What is the network module name for the MCP51 driver so that I can
try loading it manually.
CentOS 4.2
Thanks,

Actually, build 10143 introduced another bug, that was the reason for
the 1.1.11.1 release.

Display broken after resume from suspend
Hi Joshua,
Not a fix for your issue, but Ben noticed this (and fixed it):
https://github.com/skeggsb/nouveau/commit/024bda7d2b0c3b0731433d60a494c78ab58cb216
which is what causes us to even try 540MB/s link training. However
with this fix applied, it'll just give up faster. I'm told eDP is
generally a single lane, and you're trying to get more than 270MB/s.
So ... the question is ...

Using Speex on OMAP5910 OSK board
Hello,
I have an OMAP5910 OSK board with C55 dsp and ARM9 processor. I just want to
use speex as a simple application on the platform in order to check dsp's
working well or not.
First, I found speex's source codes include "ti/speex_C55_test" directory so
I thought speex could run on my platform well.
Second, I open "Code Composer

MCP51 sound card can be recognized but can't work
Hi all,
I recently install CentOS 5.2 on my Asus Z99M laptop, everything seem to
works fine but there is some problem with the sound card.
The system can recognized the hardware and I can even run the Realplayer for
linux without any error messages, but it can't make any sound, or even
noise.
I have googled a lot but still can't get it work.
Will anyone please guide me to solve this

Good. I'll try not to forget the EXTEND32 from now on.

Seems like unzip can't read it. Either it's in an unknown format or the
file got corrupted. Could simply send as multiple (uncompressed)

Can I use VBR option to change byte_per_packet dynamically ?
Hi,I have been trying some different sample rate and bitrate combinations to get a feel for how CELT behaves, too, like Andrew Lentvorski. But I want to use VBR option.I want to ask a question about VBR in CELT codec. Can we use VBR option in CELT ??? "byte_per_packet" variable in code means constant bit rate, does not it ?In this code : bytes_per_packet is constant.len =

Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Jean-Marc,
I have traced the second infinite loop further. When st->adapted becomes
true (mdf.c line 623), the first Yf[i] value is 4, the leak_estimate is
0xd4e, the resulting r is 3. The first value in st->Rf is 0, so e is 1, and
r is set to e>>1, or 0. A little later there is a divide by r, and there is
the hang.
It seems that the 0 in Rf[0] is the problem, but I am not

I decrypt them in a script during bootup. Now I want to determine if the decrypted fs
