WINE doesn't exit completely
Hello all and thank you for all the great tips in the past.
My current problem (among other personal ones I won't discuss here) is
that when exiting Notes R5 under WINE, the wineserver and the actual
"wine --managed notes.exe" processes continue to exist.
2724 pts/1 S 0:00 wine --managed notes.exe
2726 ? S 0:17 wineserver
Notes runs very well except for this.

What happened to --desktop geom?
Hey,
I'd like to apologize in advance if this is an old issue that everyone
already dealt with in some new mechanism...
But I compiled today's CVS for the first time in a few months, and when i
tried to fire up programs/games with --desktop geom 640x480 (or any other
dimensions) I get an "unknown option --desktop" error and the "usage" list
pops up. I read the man

err:local:LOCAL_GetBlock not enough space in GDI heap
Hello,
I've wrote a program in win32 that does some drawing. After running it
for a while it stops drawing the colors for the shapes I draw using GDI
functions and it throws multiple time this error:
err:local:LOCAL_GetBlock not enough space in GDI heap 10bf for 36 bytes
The WM_PAINT message looks like this:
GetClientRect (m_pMainWnd->m_hWnd, &rc);

Tracking DLLs
Does anyone know what command line params I can use to track what DLLs a
a program is accessing -- I'm trying to debug "unreal" from a compiled
install of Wine 0.9.4. Everything works fine for the most part but the
keyboard and mouse tend to freeze up. I thought maybe using a native
DLL for mouse and keyboard might fix the problem.
Thanx much,
Jeff

openssh interface
Dear all,
This is my first post to this group so excuse me if this topic has been
solved previously.
If I want to shutdown a remote database, I could send a "systemctl stop
mariadb" command using ssh. But I wonder if it is possible to update the
openssh server to implement a specific handler/callback that catch this
message and then call a C/C++ code.
In short, is there any interface

advapi32.dll
Hello,
Have solved all my problems with WINE, but one, which seems harder ;-)
I have to run a little proggie "filesign.exe", and the lil bastartd
relies heavily on advapi32.dll crypto stuff, (CryptAcquireContextA(), for example).
From what I read on the code (dlls/advapi32/crypt.c), most of this functions
are stubs, so no luck (it crashes all over with the return FALSEs)
So, I tried

Lotus 123 under Wine
As a novice to Wine I've been trying to run the old spreadsheet program
Lotus 123 release 5 (1994) under Fedora Core3. I'm using the default
wine config with one change under [Version] "Windows" = "win95". I have
little knowledge of gdb.
I get the following errors after I mount the first of seven 3.5in
floppies.
Can anyone give me some pointers? Please e-mail me

Troubles with Farpoint Spread controls
Hi all.
The environment we are working on is a Red Hat Linux 6.2, with XFree 4.0
and KDE 2.1.
The wine has been compiled using egcs-1.1.2. Wine itself is latest
snapshot (20010731).
The application we're trying to run crashes when tries to display a
dialog box using Spread controls (from Farpoint). The crash occurs
during a WM_PAINT.
By exploring the builind of the window, the control

SSH users authentication depending on their public key.
Hi everyone.
I'm looking for a way to identify my SSH's users according to their
public key; I mean I would like to have their name logged in my bash
session (in a shared unix account).
I put this in my .profile:
export HISTTIMEFORMAT="[%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S - $SSH_USER] "
So now I'm trying to make OpenSSH fill the "SSH_USER" variable.
First I have to exclude the
