MGE EllipseMAX 1500 shuts down after a few hours

In the log (syslog) there is no other message registered. In nut.log only this appears: > Dec 1 08:10:54 openmediavault upsd[5284]: Data for UPS [ellipsemax] > is stale - check driver >

MGE EllipseMAX 1500 shuts down after a few hours
I have restored original configuration and enabled the ignorelb flag. I didn't point out in the original e-mail that after every poweroff the battery percentage is reported at 40% instead of 100% and charges slowly again to 100%. Maybe the UPS sends a LB event and shuts down immediatly as suggested in the manual. But the UPS powered off again. The variables reported by upsc can be found

MGE EllipseMAX 1500 shuts down after a few hours
I have taken out the batteries and measured them with a multimeter. They put out 13V (they are rated 12V 9Ah). Putting them back again and disconnecting the UPS from the mains it is kept on, powering all the connected devices. The shutdowns only occur when the UPS is being monitored. Are you sure it's a battery problem? Do UPS perform further tests when they are being polled for data?

CyberPower CP1200AVR/BC1200D problems
I recently purchased a CyberPower CP1200AVR UPS and am trying to get NUT 2.0.3 or NUT 2.1.0 to work with the newhidups driver, but am having little success. Before I purchased I did some googling and saw people talking about problems so I'm guessing it may not be supported yet? I did find some posts about people getting it to (sort of) work with some hacks, but couldn't tell if they

usbhid-ups: no reconnect on error EPIPE
Folks, I have been working on a problem with the usbhid-ups driver and the MGE / Eaton Ellipse series UPS. There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. For whatever reason, these devices seem to trigger error 'EPIPE' randomly. So far, the response to this of the usbhid-ups (and previously, newhidups) driver is to reconnect. Most of the time this will succeed on the first

Using MGE UPS's with NUT and openSUSE
Dear List, I thought it might be useful if I wrote up my notes on getting an MGE UPS to work with NUT and openSUSE. The MGE UPS (an Ellipse 1500 USB) will work well with NUT and openSUSE 10.2, but not "out-of-the-box": there are some things you need to do: Intro. MGE have built rpms of NUT which greatly simplify installation. Merci MGE. I used the rpm's for nut-2.0.5 and the

Problems with Powerware 5115 on Patsburge USB
I am seeing some problems when using the Powerware 5115 UPS when connected to the Patsburg USB controller and would like to know if anyone has a solution. The symptom is that PING messages sent to the bcmxcp_usb driver take as long as 25 seconds to complete. The configuration is a Romley patform (a.k.a., Sandy Bridge + Patsburg) running Debian 6 with 2.6.39 kernel with NUT 2.6.4 in which the
