NUT - General Concept Question
I've been looking over the documentation and several installation guides for NUT, and I'm starting to get a little bit of a feel for what it is. But I'm still not clear whether what I'd *like* to accomplish is actually practical using NUT. Perhaps someone here can tell me if they've done something similar, or if I'm way off base. I would like to set up a Linux host as a

Incorrect Values From usbhid-ups
I just noticed what I think is another incorrectly reported value. I found that on the second screen of upsstats.cgi, the one with bar graphs, that the reported battery voltage is 16.0V even though the battery charge is at 100% and the UPS is on AC power. I would have thought it should be more than 25V.

cgi graphs text unreadable (black-on-black)
Guys, This is probably known, but since I working on nut tonight, I thought I would make sure. This is with the latest built from git. The cgi-bin script that shows the graph of upsstats has text that is unreadable. The text is black and the background is black. Here is a screenshot: http://www.3111skyline.com/dl/bugs/nut/cgi-black-text.jpg Here is the same page with the text selected with

Status of java interface
Hello, I am embarking on a project using NUT on a Raspberry pi talking to a Cyberpower UPS for storm event (e.g. hurricane) power management at a remote location. I would prefer to use Java as a programming platform for this application, but I see the NUT Java project has not been updated in a long time (7 years?!). Is it being tested with new NUT releases or has been abandoned? If the later, I

NUT proxy?
Hi, I want to use nut-cgi from a centralized machine. There are two firewalls which run upsmon. upsmon connected to the real upsd which run two machines behind the firewall. So upsmon is using LAN for communicating to upsd. First problem: I can't connect to upsmon with upsstats.cgi because upsmon not listen on TCP port. Second problem: How can I check more upsd with upsmon? All upsd are

Assistance with understanding how to setup NUT for our small server room
Hello, We have a small server room for our various Proxmox Host Servers, UTM system and managed switches. I've recently discovered NUT and would like to use it to monitor our UPS boxes using Raspberry Pi's. I have a few questions regarding the setup and I'm hoping this community can point me in the right direction. I'll be installing the latest version of NUT on each Raspberry

User defined variables in upsstats.html
Hello Is there any way to set and consume user defined variables in upsstats.html I would like to set lower thresholds for temperature than are set in the UPSes for my web page but I cannot figure out how to pass a value that is not a variable into IFBETWEEN. Is there a way to say: @IFBETWEEN 15 25 ambient.temperature@ <td BGCOLOR="#00FF00"> @ELSE@ <td

NUT 'upsstats' Battery Meter Question
Hello Jeff, `upsstats` by itself only relays and renders the information provided by a NUT data server (upsd) and the NUT driver for the device. So you can revise the specific reported values with e.g. `upsc` command-line client to be sure. What I think happens here is that the driver uses a `battery.voltage.low/nominal/high` group of readings which does not match the hardware circumstances

NUT 'upsstats' Battery Meter Question
Hello, I am using Nut 2.8.0 (2.8.0-7 packages) Debian 'Bookworm' in it's Devuan form 'Daedalus'. When I look at my Eaton (ex-MGE Powerware) E5115 UPS boxes in NUT 'upsstats" I am confused by the battery readings. Under the 'System' column I can click on the link and obtain a GUI with a few meters. The NUT 'upsstats' battery voltage meter for these

nut package with Riello UPS support
Thank you very much!! I have tried configure downloaded source with # ./configure --with-user=_ups --with-group=_ups --with-statepath=/var/db/nut/ and then build driver and copy again. but this doesn't help (driver pid still in the /var/state/ups). Maybe I must add more arguments to change driver's pid location, but I did next, I changed this argument in openbsd ports: # pkg_delete nut #

Not fully true about example configs in docs: man pages for CGI bits have some :) https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/blob/master/docs/man/upsset.conf.txt https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/blob/master/docs/man/upsstats.cgi.txt https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/blob/master/docs/man/hosts.conf.txt etc. Other than that, check permissions - e.g. OTOH if Apache user may read your
