He gave me the details on how to resolve the missing USB driver issue -
Although I would be very interested in what you find as I have not found
time to revisit the issue yet..

Windows Version not working --
Good evening,
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction..
I downloaded and installed the 2.6.5-6 Windows MSI and it installed
fine, although I nee to also get a libusb0.dll.
Connected USB to a Triplite, I could go to the Devices and Printers and
see the USB installed.
But no matter what I did I could not get nut to work. I tried various
commands, and got various errors.

Windows usbhid-ups driver
I'm having trouble with the usbhid-ups driver and Windows. NUT won't connect to an APC SmartUPS 3000 via USB.
I've had good success with NUT and Raspbian as well as NUT and Windows using the tripplitesu driver.
The current system is:
Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit
NUT 2.6.5-6 installed from MSI installer downloaded from networkupstools.org
libusb-win32-bin-1.2.6.0 installed and

NUT-Installer-2.6.5-6.msi on Hyper-V Server 2016
Hi,
I'm trying to get NUT-Installer-2.6.5-6.msi working on my homelab Hyper-V
Server 2016, so this is Hyper-V variant that is free ... without a desktop
experience.
I got it installed perfectly, but it seems to display any information from
my APC UPS connected to my Synology NAS.

New intermediate Windows binaries release - 2.6.5-2
?Hello,
There is a new intermediate Windows binaries release available at :
http://www.networkupstools.org/package/windows/NUT-Installer-2.6.5-2.msi
This fixes three regressions:
- upssched was not working
- Event logging was not working (unless for NUT service binary itself)
- usbhid-ups was not working with Back-UPS ES ups.
Feedback is highly appreciated.
Regards,
Fred

NUT start service problem
Hello, interesting to hear. What version of NUT, what way of installation
on Windows, what sort of UPS (USB or some other)?
Asking because this info is lacking and currently there are a few variants
to consider:
* an MSI package based on NUT v2.6.5 (last released about 9 years ago as
"2.6.5-6"),
* results of re-integration of that codebase into current NUT master (some

Windows NUT Client - Settings description somewhere ?
I haven't used that package with Windows (haven't used that for a while) so
can't say directly. However I can't find, neither in sources nor in the
files stored in the MSI, the GUI program you've sent the screenshot from
and particularly the localization strings it uses. Are you sure it was not
a separate download?
Note that the existing MSI's are based on a branch spun

How to setup the NUT client on Windows?
Hi Roger,
Thanks very much for your answer.

I would not argue the fact that there's obviously less interest in NUT
on Windows than on Linux.
But still, some few comments:

NUT Two Apc UPSes on Windows
Hi,
I've got a question about managing two UPSes under NUT.
I have two similar model APC usb-connected UPSes to work with, but don't
know how to manage them simultaneously from under Windows. Long story
short, my ups.conf looks like this:

driver= usbhid-ups
port= auto
serial=AS1054340323
[ups2]
driver= usbhid-ups
