APC Back-UPS XS1300 battery behaviour on test shutdown
Hi there, Seeing an odd behaviour when running upsmon -c fsd to test my Raspberry Pi (running Jesse Lite) setup as a upsmon master, attached via USB to an APC Back-UPS XS1300. The Raspberry Pi is plugged into the Master outlet on the APC. The UPS clicks onto battery (and the fan spins up) for a few minutes, then resets, then repeats again, while finally remaining on AC power afterwards. The

APC Back-UPS BX1400U
Dear list, since some days I own an APC Back-UPS BX1400U. Now I try to connect my Raspberry Pi to it using NUT, but ... ;) The UPS is connected via an USB-cable, and "lsusb" shows an APC device. NUT is installed via "sudo apt-get install nut". My goal: a Synology DiskStation DS1515+ should "read" UPS-data provided from the Raspberry an shut-down itselt at 30%

Unable to set up a "serial-over-USB" UPS (APC BZ2200BI-BR)
Dear NUT users/developers, I'm having trouble while trying to configure the UPS APC BZ2200BI-BR[1] in NUT, which despite having a USB cable it apparently communicates using the serial protocol. The relevant output of 'lsusb' is: Bus 002 Device 004: ID 051d:c812 American Power Conversion The device is registered as /dev/ttyACM0 and uses the kernel module 'cdc_acm' (USB

Using an APC UPS through USB on SuSE 9.2
Hi everyone, I apologize if this has been covered before, but I didn?t see a way to search the mailing list archives. I?ve attached an APC ES-725 to my SuSE 9.2 box using the supplied USB cable. Looking through dmesg, I see that the OS recognizes the UPS. The problem I?ve got is mapping the UPS to a specific device within the OS so I can point NUT to it. It looks like the UPS is somewhere

APC Smart-UPS 1000 RM USB problems with newhidups
I'm trying to use a rackmount Smart-UPS from APC with the USB connector, and I'm running into some issues. They seem to stem from the fact that the Report Descriptor is much larger than any other UPS I've seen (61939 bytes). Here is the quick fix that I put in libusb.c after getting the HID descriptor, and before getting the Report descriptor, which seems to work okay:

Nut 2.7.2 on OpenBSD 5.6 with APC USB UPS
I have an APC USB UPS that was working on OpenBSD 5.5 with NUT 2.7.1 When I installed the latest 5.6 snapshot with NUT 2.7.2 the UPS no longer sends status messages when it loses line power. I asked over on the OpenBSD ports list and so far haven't had any luck getting this to work again. I disabled upd at boot as was suggested and that didn't change anything except stopping the
