Udev rules troubles: incorrect ACTION expression?
G'day, all!
It's my second trouble with NUT. Latest nut-2.6.1.tar.gz installed from
source on Xenserver 5.6 SP2, UPS is Powercom WOW--500U FW3.A4 (USB).
Problem with setting permissions for udev (described in
/etc/udev/rules.d/52-nut-usbups.rules file):
ACTION!="add|change", GOTO="nut-usbups_rules_end" don't work for me. Only
when I changed ACTION to:

LDAP/PDC migration to Samba4
Greetings, All!
I'm planning a migration to Samba 4 (for a long time, I admit, but I only
recently got a promise of funds for a new server... whew...), but I'm a little
in the dark on how to arrange whole process.
Right now, the situation is imagined as follows:
Server A: LDAP/PDC/Samba3/NAT/DHCP/BIND/everything else.
Server B: New installation, x86_64, Samba4, would-be-replacement for

USA BRI -- any hope at all?
Folks --
First, apologies for not lurking for weeks or months to get the culture of the list. I read the recent post about improvement to the quality of posts with some amusement and full agreement. The problem is a big and very real one. I hope I'm not deepening it.
But my question isn't explicitly asked with this subject line or definitively answered in the archives -- that I have

ipfw2.c,v 1.76.2.17
Hi.
Since this revision (appeared in 6.3) I think ipfw violates POLA.
I mean "ipfw table N list" shows values of table in Internet '.' notation.
A friend of mine was surprised to found Internet representation
of this "optional 32-bit unsigned value".
For example security/bruteblock stores unix timestamps here
and AFAICS there is no possibility to come back to the

[LLVMdev] Working on getting MingW32/native tools-only source build up
Hello, Kenneth
> Libraries weren't being linked in;
This means, that generation of llvm-config for you is broken. I really
suggest to use perl from msys-DTK, not ActivePerl.

pam_winbind vs. pam_ldap ?
Greetings, All!
I'm using Samba 3.6 and OpenLDAP currently.
The core configuration has been done eons ago, and I'm not quite sure it is
actual any more. I see a number of PAM-related errors every time the system
boot up. One concerning me is
Jan 28 02:31:21 daemon1 perl: pam_ldap: error trying to bind as user "uid=root,ou=Users,dc=darkdragon,dc=lan" (Invalid credentials)

C or Java code generation
Hi All!
I'm new to R and I need to know is it possible for R to generate C/C++
source code, Java byte code or native Win32 DLL like MatLab?

Asterisk causing server to hang ... any hints?
I am trying to set up a simple Asterisk server. All
it's going to do for now is to act as my voicemail
box. I've got a DID from Voicepulse, and am using IAX
(I'll get to SIP someday when I want to circumvent the
phone company for long-distance, but for now I'd be
happy to get a trial version of Asterisk running).
So far, I've managed to set up voicemail.conf,

Plugin "mail_crypt" does not work
Hi!
Some replies:
1. the problem with mail_crypt_global_public_key, there is a bug that we are fixing where file inputs under plugin { } section do not get aboard.
workaround 1:
You can base64 encode the PEM key (yes, again), and put it in one line such as
plugin {
mail_crypt_global_public_key = LS0tLS1C.....
}
workaround 2:
Return the key from userdb, you can use same format.
3. The

Nested folders in FS supported yet?
The last time I checked, dovecot didn't support having nested IMAP
folders be implemented via actual nested maildir folders in the
filesystem, but that feature was on the "someday maybe it'll happen
list", IIRC. I can't find any recent mention of that feature or its
absence on the web or in the list archives; is it still on the someday
list?
(If it isn't implemented

Please adwise on classicupgrade process
Greetings, All!
I'm still on the topic, but probably I read too much stuff lately and can't
have my head set straight.
Situation: NT4 domain, LDAP+Samba 3.6, running under Ubuntu 12.04.
The machine is also a network gateway and access (VPN/ssh) server.
Target goals:
1. Upgrade to Samba4 (4.1 seems possible).
2. Convert to ADS.
3. Get rid of PAM-LDAP.
4. Retain ability for domain users

I can't find any evidence it was ever in RHEL or CentOS. It looks
like it's in the Nux Desktop repo and the Repoforge repo for EL5 and 6 and
Nux for EL7.

ArgumentError in "is a pending example" - block not supplied
We have a few unfinished examples in our code of the form
it "should and does do something" do
# stuff
end
it "should do something someday"
it "should and does do something else" do
# more stuff
end
Now since I upgraded my gem to rspec 1.8 today, the empty example is
failing with the error ArgumentError in "should do something someday":
