APC BACK UPS 2200 model BZ2200BI-BR (update)
Turns out another user reported the same issue with a slightly different model: https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/231 <https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/231> The "stty -f /dev/cuaU0 raw" trick should help, but I am confused as to why FreeBSD has different "raw" settings than what is set up at the same time as the baud rate:

Unable to set up a "serial-over-USB" UPS (APC BZ2200BI-BR)
Hello Charles and Douglas, I really believe that BZ2200-BR model is the same as mine BZ1200-BR, with different capacity. If you see the BZ2200-BR specs you will notice the manufacturer "APC-Microsol". Those no-breaks have a USB port in it, but in fact it is a serial<->usb cable, usually uses the port "/dev/cuaU0". In mine, the serial<->usb chip is from FTDI, and

Unable to set up a "serial-over-USB" UPS (APC BZ2200BI-BR)
Dear NUT users/developers, I'm having trouble while trying to configure the UPS APC BZ2200BI-BR[1] in NUT, which despite having a USB cable it apparently communicates using the serial protocol. The relevant output of 'lsusb' is: Bus 002 Device 004: ID 051d:c812 American Power Conversion The device is registered as /dev/ttyACM0 and uses the kernel module 'cdc_acm' (USB

gcc4 noise
Is anyone besides me using gcc 4.*.*? I noticed that NUT generates an enormous amount of warning noise with that compiler, mostly due to implicit casts between signed/unsigned pointer types. Any volunteers to de-noise the code a bit? The easy way is to insert typecasts; the better way is to actually take care about signedness. -- Peter gcc -I../include -O -Wall -Wsign-compare -c -o everups.o

APC BACK UPS 2200 model BZ2200BI-BR (update)
Hi Charles; I tried both of your suggestions: 1) run stty -f /dev/cuaU0 raw jusbefore running solis 2) Unplug/plug, and run solis right after. The problem still persists. [~]>stty -a -f /dev/cuaU0 speed 9600 baud; 0 rows; 0 columns; lflags: icanon isig iexten echo echoe -echok echoke -echonl echoctl -echoprt -altwerase -noflsh -tostop -flusho -pendin -nokerninfo -extproc

FTDI FT232BM USB-COM driver problems
Hi. I have some problems with USB->Serial FTDI FT232BM chip drivers on FreeBSD 7.0... FreeBSD recognize the USB device, but when I making connection to /dev/cuaU0 or /dev/ttyU0 I cant send & receive any data from device. cu -l/dev/cuaU0 -s9600 - No response at all, can't even quit the program cu -l/dev/ttyU0 -s9600 - Sometimes working, but few bites/chars after - no response...

New driver
Hi, First of all I'd like to congratulate everyone engaged in this great project. I've been following this list since late 2014, when I acquired an APC UPS model BZ1200BR. APC bought a Brazilian company named Microsol, which NUT package had drivers for Solis and Rhino models. Since that time, I started developing a new driver for the models below, as a way to support my own device, but

solis driver
I use Centos 7.6.1810 in my server with nut-2.7.2-4.el7.x86_64 which contains Solis version 0.60 08/18/2005, my last version. My hardware related by upsc is Microsol Solis 1.5, the same used to develop the driver. It's an ancient nobreak, but i still works, by the way, an excellent hardware, using the third set of batteries. If you need more information, please let me know. Greeting, Silvino.

NUT driver scheduler
Dear nut-upsdev, I writed one small function to test if batteries was really bad (using solis driver). Isn't so acurated but it's what we need. Just wait 100% batteries charge, turn off input, wait some time (10% from previst autonomy) and turn on input again. Looking startAutonomy - stopAutonomy we can know the basic batteries state. To scheduler the tests I have one new parameter on

1) A memory leak in drivers/rhino.c 2) Wunused-but-set-variable.patch
I would like to have your comments regarding: 1) drivers/rhino.c ------------------ The following patch addresses some problems in drivers/rhino.c. Or that is what I think. I don't use this hardware. The patch: 1. Eliminates some usefulness definitions. 2. It removes code that evaluate the time. I can't see how the code actually does useful work. 3. The

[UART] GPS 18-5Hz LVC and COM1 silence, OK on Linux though...
Hi, I'm having issues connecting Garmin GPS 18 to COM1 on 9.1, I get nothing but silence. Identical setup works absolutely fine with Linux. I've got PPS wire connected to DCD, but that seems to make no difference on Linux, so I presume it shouldn't affect fbsd either. On Linux, I get: $ uname -a Linux ubuntu 3.8.0-19-generic #29-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 17 18:16:28 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64
