Asterisk versions?
Thanks for that info, Ben. I do like to test out the latest and most
up-to-date versions of things when I can, so I'll check those files
and see how it goes.

Asterisk versions?
Hey Dave,
In the case of 13 and 16, these are LTS versions which means that they get
long term service. 17 is a standard release. The benefit of an LTS is that
you can expect it to get bug fixes and improvements for an extended period
of time without anything major being changed. If you find an LTS version
that has everything you need, it's probably the safest version to choose.

New router, registration problems
I just set up a WRT54GS and now I can't dial out or in.
sip show registry shows:

Video Resolution
Hi
I've just installed Tachyon: The Fringe and it plays but the max
resolution that it detects is 1024x768.
My monitor is 1600x900. Is there some way of helping it detect the
full resolution?
I've tried running with a desktop, but no joy.

data format issue
Dear all-
I have a dataset (see a sample below - but the whole dataset is June
2005 - June 2008). The "LST" format is "YYMMDDHHmm" and I would like to
get the hourly average of the "mph" for the summer months (spanning all
years). I have been trying to use "aggregate" but am not having much
success at all! any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Help, my wine is now useless
I installed Noteworthy Composer and it changed the font to music
symbols. All applications illegible as all dialog boxes are filled with
musical symbols instead of normal text. How can I reset the fonts back
to normal?

Perl-R bridge
Hi,
I'm planning to access R from my perl scripts.
The only noteworthy bridge seems to be
Statistics-R-0.03<http://search.cpan.org/%7Ectbrown/Statistics-R/lib/Statistics/R.pm>.
Would anyone like to share their experience with this Perl-R bridge?
I'd like to install it in a Mac OS X.
Suggestions on alternate solutions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Anjan

[LLVMdev] LLVM 3.0 release notes ARM Target
I've done a first pass over the past 6 months of changes and some notable things stood out:
* The ARM backend has reworked Set Jump Long Jump EH Lowering.
* The ARM backend includes improved support for Cortex-M
* The ARM backend adds parsing and encoding ARM/Thumb/Thumb2 assembly
There are also many many code generation improvements which select more optimal instructions.
Those seemed

Resilver hanging?
How can I diagnose why a resilver appears to be hanging at a certain
percentage, seemingly doing nothing for quite a while, even though the
HDD LED is lit up permanently (no apparent head seeking)?
The drives in the pool are WD Raid Editions, thus have TLER and should
time out on errors in just seconds. ZFS nor the syslog however were
reporting any IO errors, so it weren''t the disks.

Dealing with brute force attacks
Over the weekend one of our servers at a remote location was
hammered by an IP originating in mainland China. This attack was
only noteworthy in that it attempted to connect to our pop3 service.
We have long had an IP throttle on ssh connections to discourage
this sort of thing. But I had not considered the possibility that
other services were equally at risk. Researching this on the web

Using Mutt - folder atime/mtime etc
Version 2.1.10
For some reason Mutt doesn't list any info about IMAP folders and
seems to ignore folder_format.
My questions is does anyone have any workarounds for this?

Keyword Flags
I mostly use Mutt to read mail but today I fired up Thunderbird.
I have a shell script that looks for new mail, which looks for files
in cur/ and new/ ending with the server hostname or a comma.
When I fired up TB it seems that all new mail has been given a flag of
,a which I gather means it matches a keyword.
My questions are:
How did this happen?
Did TB do something strange to my mail when

linear regression with dates
Hi,
I am trying to do simple linear regression using dates in R but receiving
error messages. With the data shown below, I would like to regress x on y.
x y
11/12/1999 56.8 11/29/1999 17.9 01/04/2000 27.4 1/14/2000 96.8
1/31/2000 49.5
R gives the following error messages after reading the linear regression
command:

Dear everyone,
We're a couple of release candidates into the process, and the release
notes are not in very good shape:

If you committed anything noteworthy in the last six months, or saw
someone else do it, please consider adding it to the release notes.
People do read them.

LLD benchmark results for all commits
Speed is one of the most important goals for the new ELF linker. I ran a
benchmark for every commit to LLD/ELF that was made after the last October,
and I'd like to share the result. The motivation is to see if the linker is
getting slower as we add more features, and if so, which commits are heavy
ones in terms of performance. I measured time to link the same Clang
executable.
Here is the
