RTCP + Stasis causing high memory consumption
Hello Asterisk list, I've facing a memory allocation issue that happens occasionally but on a consistent basis. The problem happens as follow, suddenly Asterisk starts consuming a lot of memory, in a rate of more than 1GB per hour. Kernel will eventually kill it via the OOM killer when memory is really exausted... This situation does not generate backtrace because Asterisk is responsive

Parking in Asterisk 12.0.0
Hi I'm trying to get the rebuilt parking functionality to work in Asterisk 12.0.0. In Asterisk 11.6.0 I managed to get a call to get parked by adding a dynamic feature in features.conf for the DMTF sequence *# which called a macro in extensions.conf, which then runned the ParkAndAnnounce application, and the call got parked. The syntax for ParkAndAnnounce I used was this (I don't

cannot find -lasteriskssl
HI! I'm trying to compile asterisk 13.8.2+ on openSUSE Linux but it fails. It seems file ./main/libasteriskssl.so.1 is present when it fails. Building 13.7.2 works without any problem. It fails since 13.8.0. $ ./bootstrap.sh $ ./configure $ make menuselect.makeopts;menuselect/menuselect --enable chan_ooh323 $ make .. failure (see message below) Any hint is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Win XP Client password change nightmare.
Hello, I have setup a Samba server with CentOS 5.2 and Samba 3.0.28-1.el5_2.1 (the CentOS included versi?n). I have configured Samba as a PDC following "Samba-3 by example" chapter 3, "Secure Office Networking". No DNS or DHCP active, as far as for now this is just a test environment. Most of it works fine, but trying to change user passwords for a MS-Windows test computer

Problems seeking with liboggz
Hi, The Ogg-Speex test file I used is CBR. I am sure of that by running oggz-dump on the file and confirming that all audio packets have 38 bytes; that means (for narrowband) a constant 15 Kbps. I wrote a very basic test program in Visual Studio 2010 that demonstrates the strange behaviour I mentioned. The output shows that the audio file has 8 pages, 6 of them

Problems seeking with liboggz
Hi, I intend to use Ogg+Speex for voice recording/playback in a VoIP app. I am experimenting with liboggz to get acquainted with its API. As test files I am using some Ogg-Speex files converted from WAV files with speexenc.exe. I wrote a little testing app in Visual Studio 2010 under Windows 7. I defined OggzReadPage and OggzReadPacket callbacks with oggz_set_read_page()

Error when *just* adding utf8 encoding to database.yaml
Hi, I have Ruby 1.8.4 and have my MyISAM db and tables created via the migration files to utf8. A check with MySQL Front shows that all the tables and the db have been correctly created as I wanted them. I want the site to be in UTF8 format, and added the bit to application_controller.rb to get the correct header. All still worked fine at this stage. But I run into trouble when adding:

SOLVED: Win XP Client password change nightmare.
First of all, thanks a lot to John H Terpstra for his kind and useful help. The problem was something quite simple, the password chat. It really needs asterisks even at the beginning of each line. For CentOS (Red-Hat), this works (notice the red asterisks): password chat = "*New*password*" %n\n "*Retype*password*" %n\n "*updated*successfully*" This does not:
