Hi All, Has anyone gotten the polycoms or the linksys phones to accept oprtion 66 on the dhcp request for the address of the tftp config server? We have the dhcp server issuing the proper IP of the tftp server, but the phones just sit there and never try to contact the tftp server for their configs. We can see the proper option going from the dhcp to the phones with ethereal trace. Thanks JR

Lately I have been experiencing a lot of echo from my Polycom phones. Only I hear the echo and it's not on every call. I've researched it via google and the forums and every echo problem usually relates when it's using a Zap card and not an IAX provider. I hope this doesn't already exist, but I couldn't find anything to help. I am installing a brand new Asterisk server, and want to use the Polycom IP331 phones. Does anyone have any steps on how to configure these? I have softphones working just fine, but for some reason I can't find a clear step by step on provisioning the Polycoms. Hi guys, I've been using a Polycom IP 301 for a couple of weeks now and find that it's extremely slow for configuring. For instance, it takes several minutes to boot up, apply any changes via the web interface takes at least a minute, etc. Is this normal behaviour? Is there anything that can be done about it? I am ready to pull my hair out. I cannot seem to get the Polycoms to read the time properly. Regardless of the server they are pointed to our the offset, i am getting the correct time, but 24 hours ahead. So for today it is showing Friday April 28 but with the correct time. Any clues? I know the Polycoms work with NAT, but you have to specify the public IP. Is there anyway for it to discover the external IP automatically? I like the phones (been playing with a 301) but for some of our clients who have a dynamic IP (and no hope of getting a static ie cable or residential DSL) I'd be afraid to use them since you have to specify the IP. Hi, Has anyone used polycom phone IP500/600's conference feature? I ran into some issues. Polycom is not behind NAT. Polycom calls pstn number A, (gets two way voice), presses conference, (A is put on hold), calls pstn number B, (gets two way voice), presses conference again, suppose to have all three parties in the call, polycom and B have two way voice, but polycom doesn't have two
