can not define drives with winecfg 20050725
Hello. I'm trying to make wine 20050725 works. As I understand it, the old .wine/config file is now obsolete, and wine configuration should be done through winecfg. When I launch winecfg, I got this message: Warning: the specified Windows directory L"c:\\windows" is not accessible. Warning: the specified System directory L"c:\\windows\\system" is not accessible.

Major Bug while trying to run winecfg
I am getting major errors and have no idea what to do. I followed the instructions at http://www.winehq.org/download/deb and got the following results: scott at scott-desktop:~$ pasuspender winecfg err:ntlm:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. err:ntlm:SECUR32_initNTLMSP Usually, you can find it in the winbind package

june 2005 release and 'registry' ?
All, I am testing with the wine 2005 release. The release notes state config file control has been moved to the registry and that winecfg is active. winecfg does not seem to recognize dll overrides. Has anyone else seen this? If so were you able to work around it? Thanks, Dan

When I try to run winecfg I get [enigma@localhost ~]$ winecfg err:module:import_dll Library shlwapi.dll (which is needed by L"c:\\windows\\system32\\shell32.dll") not found err:module:import_dll

winecfg problem
I installed wine version 0.9.24 and winetools on my computer (OpenSuse 10.2) but I can't get it to configure at all. I first tried winetools and it said that I didn't have a configuration so run with the command wt. So I typed wt and nothing happened. Heres where I think the main problem lies though. When I attempt to do winecfg I get a ton of errors. Here is the output:

winecfg Audio tab crash - OS X Snow Leopard
Hi all, I built Wine 1.2-RC3 via Macports today on my Macbook Pro, running OS X 10.6.3. Just noticed a problem I've never had before - whenever I run winecfg and click on the Audio tab, Wine crashes. Thought it might have been something weird in my ~/.wine, but I tried with a fresh Wine prefix and still had the same problem. Any ideas? Sample output follows: WINEPREFIX=~/.winetest1 winecfg

Compiling from source - where is winecfg?
Hey all, I've just switched distro to Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) from LM9 Isadora. Some of you may be aware that the Wine Debian packages are extremely old (the repo the main page directs me to doesn't go above 1.1.4.2), so I compiled 1.3.4 from source, without installing. That went fine, insofar as I tested with a previously-installed app and it ran, but now I want to install a

Page fault in winecfg
UBUNTU 10.10 x86_64 with wine 1.3.10 I called winecfg, got the gui and set the decor to win7. Clicked on Apply and started moving through the tabs to check. When I clicked on the graphics tab I got this page fault. Here is my complete console log. john at john-GA-MA78LM-S2H:~$ mv .wine .wine.prod john at john-GA-MA78LM-S2H:~$ wine winecfg wine: created the configuration directory

WoW under wine and winecfg segfault
I am using wine actually only to play WoW on Gentoo Linux. On my desktop PC that works, but on my laptop the program crashes. This appears to be a fault in wine, because I cannot even use winecfg - it segfaults immediately: Code: $ winecfg wine: created the configuration directory '/home/helge/.wine' err:process:__wine_kernel_init boot event wait timed out Segmentation fault I tried

Bugs not triggering if foret to run winecfg
I just updated to version 0.9.59 and decided that it was time to do a proper retest of one of my apps (DVD Profiler (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=1975)). I was quite chuffed when I ran the install and some of the bugs seemed to have been squashed, but I was suffering from the recent task bar issue (bug 12362 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12362)) so

Stick on installation: winecfg not found
Hi, I followed the installation instruction step by step with the wine 1.3.13 package. I stick at point 3.1 user guide: using winecfg. If I input /usr/local/bin/winecfg or only winecfg in the wine-1.3.13 directory, the error message -bash: winecfg: command not found appears. There is a directory winecfg under wine-1.3.13/programs/ but no executable files. The wine package is installed under
