Conexant fax/modem not faxing with sendfax
I finally picked up a "real" modem (not a winmodem) and put it in my machine. I pulled down the hsfmodem driver from the source, got a license and installed the driver at full power. If I use wvdial, I can get out through the modem, so I know that works. However, sendfax is rejecting the fax capability (from /var/log/sendfax.log): 11/30 00:31:52 sendfax: interim release 1.1.33-Apr10

send_file and ZIP files
I have an application which uses send_file to send a ZIP file to the client. This works nicely when it''s run on our development OS-X boxes, using mongrel from script/server, but on our production server, using mongrel behind Apache 2.2. with mod_proxy_balancer, the client gets 1 byte delivered :-( If I use wget -S to the URL in order to see the full headers I see this on

What is the stack size?
I am installing the hsfmodem drivers for my ALI 5457 softmodem from http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads-rhel40-i686.php The following warning is supplied: *Note:* The default stack size in original Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 kernels is only 4K. Because some drivers require more stack space to operate properly, we recommend using a kernel with a larger stack size if you

bristuff-0.2.0-RC8h does not compile
Hi, it helps to have configured and working kernel sources installed. Configure your kernel sources for the running kernel and then run "make" in the kernel source dir to build the necessary scripts. You dont have to wait until the kernel is compiled. best regards Klaus -- Klaus-Peter Junghanns Am Samstag, den 25.06.2005, 02:45 +0200 schrieb Stefan Gofferje: > Hi folks, > >

Re: zapata with Tiger3XX compilation error
Ok so I read the Linux 2.6 related README and finally compiled propperly, I thought but at the end I notice that lscpi does report the cards, but I cant modprobe wcfxo nor zaptel and I do have wcfxo.ko in the /lib/modules/2.6.8/extra/ directory, so what gives? This is a Debian Sarge, thanks! # # make clean starts here # make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/zaptel-1.4.0/menuselect' rm

Windows program calling another program
I saw a discussion that looked exactly like the issue that I'm having, but turned out to be a divide by zero error instead. I apologize if this issue as already been addressed. I am trying to run an IDE called MPLAB(v7.20) under wine(v20050524). I can get the IDE up and it will successfully call another program called mpasmwin.exe which assembles the file. This mpasmwin program generates

Bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q and & florz patch compile trouble
Again trouble compiling bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q with the florz patch on a x86_64 box (I guess nobody is using x86_64 platform or is able to fix this themselves?) First of all when bristuff is downloaded and compile is started it appears that the bristuff Makefiles are badly broken. The asterisk Makefiles all do see to find the kernel sources on a RHEL4 box in the proper directory, the pure

Hello, I am trying to install the drivers for the Junghanns quadBRI card, but am having a problem. I have essentially followed the procedure from http://www.voip-manager.net/installation-linux-asterisk.php. At the stage to install the ISDN card I have completed the following: 1) downloaded the bristuff-0.2.0-RC8q.tar.gz to /usr/src 2) unpacked it in /usr/src - tar xvzf bristuff-0.2.0-RC8q.tar.gz

Compiling Kernel Modules
Hi, Here'a a question - is it possible to compile a single module (distributed in the kernel source tree) for the current CentOS kernel (2.6.9-5.0.5) without recompiling the entire kernel and all other modules. I basically need reiserfs3 (nb. why is it disabled? it's a module, you use it, it doesn't wreck anything...) and I don't really want to change the rest of the kernel, and
