Visual Fox Pro 6 APP and Wine & Reggresion
Hello, i'm working in software development company, and we have a custom made software in VFP 6, as we're thinking on replacing all our
win9x boxes to linux (since we got rid of those hard-to-manage-and-prone-to-error nt boxes) since we mostly use this app for everything, we
tried to run it in Linux using wine.
i downloaded the latest wine release, the codeweavers release and a CVS one,

Win2K registry not loading correctly
Hi,
I've noticed that my Win2K registry just won't load correctly. In Win2K
regedit nothing shows up at all - not even home registry values - and in
Win98 regedit (running in my w2k configured wine) only few values show
up, I believe those are my home registry values. Here's the relevant
stuff from config, built with winesetup:

Samba 2.0.3 and NT/9x
Dear all,
I recently upgraded to Samba 2.0.3 and read the doc files about NT
machines because I cannot connect to the Samba server.
In the WinNT.txt file there is the following proposal:

Hi!

Lotus Notes under WinNT 4.0
Hello!
I'm trying to run Lotus Notes (installed on another partition,
Win NT 4.0) under SuSE Linux 7.2.
So far I got Wine release 20011108.
If I run
wine --winver nt40 --debugmsg +loaddll \\
/windows/c/Programme/Lotus/Notes/notes.exe
a Lotus opening window shows shortly and then on a mouseclick
it does nothing or produce a memory error.
It seems to have problems with ole32.dll:

Win2K v WINE
Hi All,
I found an old article on running WINE alongside Windows 2000
yesterday. It advocated using the command line of "wine --winver nt2k
[program name]", in the example "wine --winver nt2k mspaint.exe". I
tried this out with Paintshop Pro which WINE HQ says does run with WINE,
but had even less success than before. At least without using that extra
part I got an error

Getting unwanted GetProcessWindowStation (void): stub emulating winME
Hi,
I would launch Internet Explorer 5.
My command line is :
wine --winver winme iexplore.exe
Although that the fonction is marked unsupported under
Win9X/ME in the doc,
i'm getting unwanted messages reporting that this
function is a stub (should return NULL under
Win9X/ME).
How could I fix these ?
Thx for help
Sylvain

Greetings!
I just successfully installed wine under red hat linux 7.1, the latest
kernel. I am running windows 2000 Professional on my Dos partition. I
have been able to run some of the software I need to stay in linux
instead of having to switch to win2k, but I'm having problems with
Membership Plus 6.0c.
Here's the command I give to try and run it: [johnfg@church johnfg]$

Hi Mike,
I got almost the same problem as you when I was using 2.04b on
HP-UX 10.20 machine. I can not map to \\servername\sharename to my
hpux machine from Win95 successfully when the sharename is different
from the client login name. But it's successful on my WinNT.
I can not resolve this problem but have a

Wine 2001.11.08, FreeBSD 4.{2,4}, Lightwave 5.6 Screamernet Node
Sorry for the limited detail here. To make matters worse, I don't have
access to the machines in question any more. But perhaps someone would
be able to give me some pointers to useful avenues to pursue.
I'm trying to use Wine on FreeBSD (versions 4.2 and 4.4), to act as a
Lightwave 5.6 render node, using Lightwave's ScreamerNet software. The
software is for NT 4.0.
