Problems with *.enu files
Hi there everybody! I have the following problem: when i launch isobuster (a tool with which you can extract nearly every existable cd-image) I get an error in the console which says that a file called isobuster.enu couldnt be loaded. It should be in the isobuster directory but on my whole box there is no such file so i think it is implemented in the exe file which is the only one in the

aspi problems / ide-scsi emulation
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, my goal is to get either blindwrite suite (v4 or 5), isobuster or any other app running that is able to create an iso of my playstation CDs. I'm using a 2.6.11 kernel and thus cannot use the ide-scsi emulation module to access my ide cd-rw. Adaptech's aspichk tool reports no aspi layer present. As I understand this is necessary for wine

NEC 1300A DVD-R writing
Hi, so I just bought a NEC 1300A, primarily, because it allows me to write DVD+ and -RW. Using DVD-R discs (and currently no options to try other media, due to shops being closed), I'm unable to write anything, using either the dvd+rwtools port, or the dvdrtools. I've exhausted all references to be found in google, which are in a language I understand, so I'm hoping the list can

isolinux + windows installation CD : second trial
Hello, There was a thread here about month and a half ago, titled: isolinux + windows installation CD see: http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2006-May/006902.html It dealt with burning an individual installer to disc from a multi-boot DVD - of the style you get with an MSDN subscription. The process suggested was: 1. copy the contents of the ISO to a temporary folder. 2. make the isolinux

I've purchased an LG DVD Burner (GSA-E60L) External super Multi DVD Rewiter for my PE2950 Dell Server attached via USB. Can someone guide me to set up the DVD with Linux, and which tools should I use to burn DVD? cdrecord issues
I have an issue with cdrecord though and I can't figure it out. I use Webmin, which basically just creates an iso and then uses cdrecord to burn it and it worked fine with previously installed CentOS 4 (I wiped and reinstalled about 8 months ago). This is the command that Webmin tries to execute... cdrecord -v dev=0,0,0 speed=4 -isosize \

ASPI problem
Having gotten WinOnCD to start (though the installer fails (*.msi file)) by copying the files and registry from a windows install, I now have an ASPI problem. I am able to erase a cdrw from within winoncd and most of winoncd works pretty much as it should (but no drag'n drop works). Writing a CD does however not work yet and it appears to be a winaspi problem: Here is part of the trace:

How do I burn a CD image under CentOS?
Newbie question (again): I'm running CentOS 4.4 (2.6.9-42.0.8) and have not been able to burn an ISO image of a 3rd party driver to my CD burner. cdrecord generates this and I'm not sure where to go on this from here: $ cdrecord -scanbus Cdrecord-Clone 2.01-dvd (--) Copyright (C) 1995-2004 Jrg Schilling Note: This version is an unofficial (modified) version with DVD support Note: and

multi-boot CD question
Hello everyone, I am attempting to add another boot option to our multi-boot technical resource CD where I work. I currently have 8 working floppy disk images, but this time I need to add a piece of software which I only have access to through an ISO image. This ISO image, when burned to a CD, boots and runs the software fine. I know that isolinux does not support booting ISO images. I used

MOre on buring ISOs
So right now I have installed k3b on this notebook. I am using my Storix DVD/CDRW usb drive. I can read cds with it. Cannot burn CDs. First k3b suggests slowing down (from 8x to 4x). Then use TAO. Then it gave up. So I try cdrecord directly. -checkdrive finds some interesting things. Got to close the drive manually; cdrecord says it can't. then try a cdrecord -v dev=dev/scd0 sample.iso

Merging Mandrake 10.1 auto_install floppy with first CD of the same distro.
Hello, I have been struggling for long with the above. The purpose behind attempting the same is to have a handsfree install from the first CD (bootable) including a customised kernel and application. There will be no user intervention required whatsoever during installation. In this regard this is what I am trying to do. At the end of a manual install of the above distro I can create a auto

Building a custom Windows installer
Dear r-devel list members, It's been several years since I last built a custom Windows installer for R, and despite my notes and the instructions in Sections 3.1.7 and D.4 of the R Installation and Administration Manual, I've run into a problem, receiving the following error message: ----------- snip ----------- C:\R\src\R-2.11.1\src\gnuwin32\installer>make myR

Writing a DVD
Hi there. I am unsuccessfully trying to write a data DVD on FreeBSD 4.8. The writer is a Sony DVD RW DRU-500A on IDE. I'm using the atapicam driver. The media is a Sony DVD+RW which arrived with the writer. Both with cdrecord ProDVD (from the ports or otherwise) and dvdrtools I get a general SCSI retryable error message, when trying to write a data track or blank a DVD. I have no
