ATA react to phone but unresponsive to fax modem
Hi, I'm rather new to this domain so I may be doing stupid things without being concious of that. I've got a Patton MATA I'm trying to setup as T.38 fax adapter. Whenever I connect a fax machine (Dell MFP1815dn) or a phone to it, I can successfully send a fax or talk to the other end. Whenever I connect a fax modem (Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop), I keep getting "No signal. Line is

T.38 ATA
Hello all ! Can anyone recommend me ATA device that REALLY has T.38 built in. So far I have heard of Telco Systems Access201, which seems to be impossible to bye in Europe (all resselers are droped Telco systems ATAs for some reason (tried in Germany and in UK so far)), and I have heard that SIPURA SPA-2100 should have T.38 built in into newer firmware, but I wasn't able to confirm that

Patton M-ATA and T.38
Hi, Has someone met success setting a Patton M-ATA to work in T.38 ? In my experiences here, it seems this ATA don't switch to T.38 whenever a fax signal is heard on its FXS port. Where to find local FXS settings ? [SOLVED]

initial review of Grandstream HT-286 ATA device
Hi List, Just received a HT-286 Analog Telephone Adapter. This device is allows the user to take a standard analog telephone set and connect it to a VoIP/SIP based gateway. A low cost way of having PSTN devices make use of VoIP/SIP services. For example you could take a credit card processing machine and punch it into a location where you have broad band access. You could take a FAX

T.38 with Audiocodes gateway
Hello, I'm helping a colleague (*) which has the following setup: ITSP --- <T.38 capable PJSIP trunk> --- Asterisk 13 --- <PJSIP>-- Audiocodes MP-112 --- <FXO/FXS> --- Fax machine My issue is the following : Audiocodes gateway reject INVITEs with 488 Not Acceptable Here It seems this gateway requires t38 settings to be present in SDP body in the very first INVITE. SPA112: one analog phone works, not the other
Hello, I'm preparing a setup before installing it within the next few days. In this setup, I'm using a SPA112 as an ATA for an analog phone. The target phone is a Gigaset A400 DECT handset. In my lab, I've got another A400 handset and an old Matracom 46 handset. When I connect my Matracom 46 handset to my SPA112, I can send and receive calls. When I connect my A400 handset to the

Interface * with ATA from ATA FXS port? (Here I go again)
Well, I thought I had my problem solved, but it is acting up again. Hopefully this time I can provide enough information. What I have is an * box setup with one X100P and TDM400 with one FXO and one FXS. For my regular setup with interfacing with my PSTN and my entire house with analog phones, the box is working great. I am trying to interface a Mediatrix 1202 device to my * box via the

Experiences with ATA model Octtel SP200SO
Hi, I took a piece of Octtel SP200SO (SIP, FXS, FXO, LAN, WAN, QoS ...) from local distributor for testing. First surprise came, when I opened it ... no documentation was included, the second, when I learned, there is no relevant doc on company web too! Nevertheless in the rest I configured it (with partial success) ... - both ports (FXS+FXO) registers to asterisk (type=friend) - call from

Asterisk T.38 Pass-Through doesn't work
What I have is: * Asterisk 1.8.10.1~dfsg-1ubuntu1, * SPA112 ATA with analog fax in 1-st FXS port connected, * SIP trunk with provider supporting T.38. My network looks like this: * spa112 (192.168.33.200/24) and Asterisk (192.168.5.253/24) in neighbouring LANs, * Asterisk connects to the provider (80.75.130.136) via router (82.200.7.184). Router has full DNAT to Asterisk server. What happens?

Best FXO hardware for home use
Hi. I have been searching through old threads and various forums, but can't seem to find out what the consensus view is here on the best type of FXO hardware to use for a home asterisk implementation. Specifically, should I buy a FXO ATA like the Sipura 3000, or a PCI form factor port like the Digium TDM400 series. I have read horrible things about problems with the X100P, so I have ruled

HandyTone 488 ata?
Anyone tried to muck around with using the 488 for both fxs and fxo with asterisk? I've been playing with one for the last couple of days, and it looks like its a little lower quality then the spa3k. No gain settings, echo canceller is less then ideal on long analog pstn loops, etc. Anyone with good experiences?

OT - Is T.38 possible on SPA8800 FXO port ?
Hello, If I'm not mistaken, it is not possible to get T.38 on a SPA3102 FXO port (it is possible with the FXS port). Do you know, by experience preferably, if this is possible with an SPA8800 FXO port ? Regards

802.1x support in wired sip hardphones ?
Hi, Is anyone aware of a wired sip hardphone supporting 802.1x authentication ? I've been told some Avaya and Alcatel ip phones supported 802.1x. As 802.1x is widely used with wireless hardphones, I'm wondering whether or not, 802.1x could also be valuable for wired environments.
