I remember that I was having issues with an older libspandsp library.
I simply upgraded to the latest available version which made the issue

Problems receiving some faxes in T.38
Hello,
We have been working with the ReceiveFax application for some weeks now in
order to receive faxes in T.38 and it works fairly well, but there are some
faxes that for some reason we are not able to receive correctly.
The asterisk version we are using is 1.6.0.6 with spandsp-0.0.5pre4 and the
asterisk machine is behind a CISCO mediaGW to be able to communicate with
the PSTN.

debugging T.38 issues
Hello list,
We're currently facing some issues concerning T.38 gateway faxing.
This is a device used almost exclusively for receiving faxes. Calls
are incoming to asterisk on a SIP trunk (sangoma netborder) using
G711A. Gateway mode is activated in the asterisk dialplan towards a
Cisco SPA 112 running firmware 1.3.5. We are using asterisk 1.8.13.0
with the T.38 gateway patch applied (I know I

Where are the fax instructions?
Hello,
Trying to set up res_fax_spandsp. Based on

same => n,Set(FAXOPT(gateway)=yes)
same => n,Dial(DAHDI/3) ----->FXS port to fax machine

T.38 Gateway
Hi everyone,
we're trying to setup a fax gateway from PRI to SIP. Our test setup
consists of two asterisk 10 machines connected over PRI and a third one
which is acting as a fax endpoint over SIP.
On the machine which is receiving over PRI, we see the following message:

request for clarification on Asterisk T.38 bounty
The bounty stands at $5,500. I'm seriously considering taking a shot
at it if I can find a decent T.38 provider to test with (I'm still
hoping for reliable PAYG T.38).
It looks like a lot of very smart people have done a lot of very hard
work (t38modem, spandsp) that would go towards getting this working.
At this point it appears to be mostly a matter of integration

spandsp hylafax asterisk and confusion
I have been attempting to download, compile and configure spandsp to
function with * without much luck. I am guessing that some assumptions
were made regarding the users knowledge level of Linux. Sadly, I must
not live up to those assumptions.
My problem begins when after compiling spandsp I look for the
app_rxfax.c, app_txfax.c, app_dtmftotext.c and makefile.patch files to

SpanDSP 0.0.2pre6 undef symbol on gentoo-ppc
Hello all:
In a quest to resolve the last apparent timing problems I am having
with SpanDSP I am trying out some PPC hardware, specifically a B&W G3.
I am running gentoo-ppc on this system and have compiled spandsp
0.0.2pre6 along with a release version of asterisk. Zaptel device
(T100P) is configured and appears to be ready to go.
When loading asterisk it crashes out with the following

[LLVMdev] Loop vectorizer preamble
Hi Arnold, Nadav,
I've been taking a look at the preamble and bailout tests created by the
loop vectorizer, and I can't help but feel it could be rather conservative.
I'm not a vectorization expert, so I apologise in advance if say something
obviously wrong...
I'm looking in particular at the overflow check and the trip count
computation. From my reading, it goes something like:
