zvol used apparently greater than volsize for sparse volume
What does it mean for the reported value of a zvol volsize to be less than the product of used and compressratio? For example, # zfs get -p all home1/home1mm01 NAME PROPERTY VALUE SOURCE home1/home1mm01 type volume - home1/home1mm01 creation 1254440045 - home1/home1mm01 used 14902492672

Kernel panic receiving incremental snapshots
Before I open a new case with Sun, I am wondering if anyone has seen this kernel panic before? It happened on an X4500 running Sol10U3 while it was receiving incremental snapshot updates. Thanks. rsync behind NAT
Hi I use rsync as a client to copy a directory structure from a remote server, once every month. Until a few weeks ago, we had direct access to the internet - and the way it would work is that the guy maintaining the rsync server would add my machine's IP to an access list and I would run the rsync command from my machine. Recently however, our network was 'upgraded' to a NAT

zpool degraded status after resilver completed
I am curious why zpool status reports a pool to be in the DEGRADED state after a drive in a raidz2 vdev has been successfully replaced. In this particular case drive c0t6d0 was failing so I ran, zpool offline home/c0t6d0 zpool replace home c0t6d0 c8t1d0 and after the resilvering finished the pool reports a degraded state. Hopefully this is incorrect. At this point is the vdev in question now has

Crossrealm Kerberos problems
I am running dovecot 2.1.7 on Debian Squeeze 64 bit, config information at the end of the email. I am working on a Kerberos/GSSAPI based setup that requires cross-realm authentication. I have regular GSSAPI working, I can log in using pam_krb5 with password based logins or with the GSSAPI support when using a kerberos ticket in the default realm. However when I attempt to authenticate using

Failed to setup GSI - dom0 Linux Kernel Boot Issues
Having some huge issues with Xen on one of my boxes. I''m using the package from Arch Linux repository, though I have tried Vanilla source with identical results. This package works on two of my other computers (all it does patch-wise is change the Xen init.d scripts to Arch Linux compatible ones, and add support for xz-compressed dom0 kernels). My syslinux.cfg menu line is as follows:

Bug#586729: Xen boot error: ERROR: Unable to locate IOAPIC for GSI
Hi Russell, Was there an underlying issue here (e.g. failure to boot or crash?) or were you just concerned by the messages? Are you able to test if this still happens with the 4.1 based hypervisor in Wheezy? Ian.
