Assertion ''l1e_get_pfn(MAPCACHE_L1ENT(hashent->idx)) == hashent->mfn'' failed at domain_page.c:203
Today is my day!
This is with Xen 4.4 (pulled today) when I build a kernel in dom0 and
have two guests launching at the same time. This is what I get:
(XEN) Assertion ''l1e_get_pfn(MAPCACHE_L1ENT(hashent->idx)) == hashent->mfn'' failed at domain_page.c:203
and it blows up. Here is the full log:

no-amd-iommu-perdev-intremap + no-intremap = BOOM with Xen 4.4 (no-intremap by itself OK).
Hey
I wanted to try my hand at doing some GPU passthrough so on my ASUS
M5A97 which in the pass worked with an older BIOS (but said BIOS
had issues after S3 suspend) - but with a BIOS the PCI passthrough does
not work. That is due to::

[BUG] Problem Booting Xen 4.0.1 on 2.6.32.26/27
Hello,
I''m attempting to boot Xen 4.0.1 on a SuperMicro H8DGi-F motherboard and
having not much luck. I can boot the
2.6.32.26 (or .27) kernels alone, but when I add Xen into the mix, I get
consistent boot failure.
I''ve tried Xen 4.0.1-release, 4.0.2-rc1-pre and 4.0.2-rc2-pre, all get
the same failure.
xen/next-2.6.37 works and boots great, but since netback isn''t

Possible bug, dom0 crash on ubuntu
When booting a recently compiled Xen 4.2 on Ubuntu 12.04, dom0

I''ve used:

get it to compile.

Hey,
It looks like one of the patches that went in Xen 4.1 blows up.
This used to work over the weekend, so I can only surmise
it is one the three patches. This is with a debug=y build
(which has been working nicely for the last month or more).
It looks like one of the patches that went in Xen 4.1 blows up.
This used to work a day ago - that is c/s 23551 worked nicely.

Problem with GTX 970 under Fedora 21
Hi,
I took this issue to the Fedora forum initially, but no-one there has
been able to offer any guidance, so I have decided to come to the
nouveau community directly.
I was running a KDE desktop under Fedora 21 successfully, including the
ability to use a direct text login on an older card (GXT 560 Ti) with an
entirely stock Fedora, fully updated.
I simply replaced the old card with an

Failure to boot, Debian squeeze with 4.0.1 hypervisor, timer problems?
Hi,
I have a system based on a Supermicro X8DTH-i motherboard and a Xeon
E5506 CPU. It was previously running Debian lenny with
xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64 (3.2.1-2) /
linux-image-2.6.26-2-xen-amd64 (2.6.26-29) without incident.
I upgraded it to Debian squeeze, with xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64
(4.0.1-4) / linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 (2.6.32-45) and now it
does not complete a boot of the dom0

IO error after s2ram resume; device stays open
dmesg output after a resume from a suspend.
the device in question was /dev/sdb mounted on /home. after a device
failure to resume properly, the link is then reset by the kernel but
comes back as /dev/sde. /dev/sdb disappeared entirely, and is now
referred to as sde.
attempted to remount rw of sde, seemed to succeed, mount/mtab said
that it was rw now but i couldn''t write to the volume

Doubled up RAM to 32 GB - now how to speed up a LAPP server?
Dear CentOS users,
I run a small Facebook game at a CentOS 6.3 machine
with PostgreSQL 8.4.3 + few PHP scripts + 1 Perl daemon
and even though the server worked ok,
I've suggested my users to double up the RAM
to 32 GB and they have collected money for that.
Now my problem is that I don't know, which knob
to turn and how to really use the additional memory.
Below is my top output at the

Help with nouveau driver
Thanks for the quick help!
Indeed a kernel update resolved the issue, there one problem left
though: I get an error:
Xorg.0.log: Couldn't load sub module "fb".
I can't find out what package this module is part of. Maybe you know?
I already purged and reinstalled xserver-xorg and xserver-xorg-core with
no effect.
Cheers

Help with nouveau driver
Ok, nevermind the problem was ofcourse some idiot, who specified a wrong path for said fb module. (obviously me)
Startx works now, my gnome crashes with “Oh no! Something has gone wrong.”, but I guess this has nothing to do with nouveau so you can take this case as solved!
Installing the new kernel solved all issues, but I really don’t know, why Debian ships such an old kernel…

Bug#797205: xen-hypervisor-4.4-amd64: Xen live migration dom0 memory swap
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.4-amd64
Version: 4.4.1-9+deb8u1
Severity: important
I already posted this on the xen-devel-mailinglist but no one seems to have an
answer. I'm posting it here because perhaps someone using Debian and
Virtualization might have an idea about this?
Since Debian 8 I observe that live migrating a PVM on XEN 4.4.1 (also 4.5.1)
and
Linux Kernel 4.1.0 (also 3.18) requires

need help with passthrough of intel igp
Hello.
It is update of my previous message.
I''ve checked that I can passthrough discrete graphic card, but when I try
use in IGP (without discrete card in the slot) linux come to desktop
without usage in inteldmr driver indeed. Dmesg show that I have some
problem with ioremap.
Is someone tried do pci/vga passthrough of integrated graphic or know way
to solve that problem?
Best regards.

BTRFS crash on mount with 3.4.4
My kernel crashed for some other reason, and now I can''t mount my btrfs
filesystem.
I don''t care about the data, it''s backed up.
I''ll compile a 3.5 kernel, but is there any info you''d like off that
filesystem to see why btrfs is crashing on mount?

Problem booting hypervisor on Lenovo T400 Core2 Duo P8600
Hi,
I have a problem booting the Xen hypervisor on my brand new Lenovo
Thinkpad T400 2765D2G (Core2 Duo P8600 CPU, 2.40GHz. 4GB RAM). I''m
running Debian 5.0 (Lenny) and I use the Debian-provided
xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64 package. The Dom0 kernel seems to be the Xen
patches ported to a 2.6.26 kernel: linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-amd64
I can boot the hypervisor only very unrealiably: Out of

The Xen hypervisor very unreliably boots on my 4GB Lenovo Thinkpad T400 2765D2G. Right after installation it
booted the DomO kernel from linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-amd64 without any problems, but every subsequent restart
failed completely. Once I had a XEN "early fatal page fault" error message, on every other of
