Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
I missed that snmp-ups set pollfreq to 30 by default. I'd hope that it would set deadtime to an appropriate value as well than, no? Is there a way to query what the settings are or what the defaults are? I'm going to set POLLFREQ=30 and DEADTIME = 90 and see if that has any effect. I'll check for the logs. And if that doesn't get my anywhere I'll look at trying to simulate

Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
Just started using NUT and having a problem. I'm not sure if it is even NUT that is causing the issue. I'm running the latest FreeNAS 9.3 release. Network UPS Tools upsmon 2.7.2. The UPS is a Tripplite SU6000RT4UHVPM with the SNMPwebcard installed. I'm trying to use the SNMPwebcard, not USB or Serial. I've updated the SNMPwebcard to the latest firmware version (see below). In

Thanks. As mentioned, deadtime can't be set for snmp-ups. You see this in the logs. Mar 31 09:08:30 freenas notifier: Fatal error: 'DEADTIME' is not a valid variable name for this driver. Mar 31 09:08:30 freenas notifier: Look in the man page or call this driver with -h for a list of valid variable names and flags. While looking at /var/log/messages I also see this when starting

Connecting to Tripp-Lite SNMPWEBCARD
Hey! I was wondering if anybody has had any luck getting a Tripp Lite UPS with the SNMPWEBCARD working with NUT? I haven?t been able to get it working using the same steps I did getting an APC unit working. I have been able to get snmpwalk to work with SNMP 1 so theoretically it should work for at least that snmp v1. We are using Centos 6.4 with NUT version nut-2.6.5-2.el6.src.rpm. We currently

howto force shutdown if nut-snmp Communications lost
Hallo, I have one ups with snmp and any ups without snmp. Shutdown works while network online. But some batteries are empty, so that the communication break early. Howto force shutdown if nut-snmp Communications lost? My 1. suggestion was option DEADTIME, but seem to be information only. (s. below) Any suggestions? The last way would be a ugly cronjob (like: ping || shutdown). regards Heiko

upsmon+snmp-ups does not shut down system
I've googled and RTFM'ed, but still can't solve this one. I hope you folks can. This affects my entire computer cluster, but let's start simple: I've got a computer running NUT; OS is Scientific Linux 5.5; kernel 2.6.18-274.12.1.el5xen. It connects to an APC SMART-UPS via an APC SmartCard using the snmp-ups driver. It generally works: upsmon will detect if the battery is low

Just an interesting data point
SO, my full load on my core UPS is two Dell R610s, one Sun X4540, one HP DL360p gen8, two six-core Thuban-II workstations plua their monitors, and the network stack and KVM. The APC SU3000RM (3KVA) that blew up last week considered this to be just short of 60% load. The new Cyberpower PR3000 (also 3KVA), wqhich operates at a 90% power factor, considers this same load to be 43% load. I wasn't

My nut version is : 2.2.2-4 (RHEL 5) What do your configuration files look like? Setting MINSUPPLIES to 2 should work. You can run upsmon with a debug level of 3 or greater, and it will print the current and minimum "power value", which is what determines

No matching MIB found for sysOID
Hello all, Thank you in advance for a great FOSS project. Also, thank you for reading my question. I have a CyberPower OR1500LCDRTXL2U with an RMCARD205. There are a handful of devices plugged into the UPS. I received a message today saying to send upsc output to NUT developers after this message: "No matching MIB found for sysOID '.1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.1'" root at

No shutdown on empty battery
Hello, I set up a FreeBSD 8.2 system with nut 2.6.1 and a Powerware 5115 connected by RS-232. I expected this setup to shut down before running out of battery power, but I either missed some important configuration or something else went wrong: The syslog says: Jan 9 05:03:42 b1 upsmon[67752]: UPS upsb1 at localhost on battery Jan 9 05:04:42 b1 upsmon[67752]: UPS upsb1 at localhost on line

Tripp-Lite SMART1500LCD: powers off with /etc/killpower...then powers back on...
Hi Everyone, I recently bought a Tripp-Lite SMART1500LCD for my Linux Mint 19.3 machine, connected via a USB cable. I installed Nut 2.7.4 from the Mint package repository via sudo apt update && sudo apt install nut. Everything works great: NUT issues low battery warning when it reaches the set low battery point and then issues shutdown commands...computer shuts down..then the UPS shuts

QoS net-snmp ?
Hi I''ve patched net-mrtg http://www.net-snmp.org/ with http://x-ray.prokon.cz/data/snmp/ sucefully Also I''ve copied QOS.TXT to /usr/local/share/snmp/mibs when I make a normal use of snmp, with mrtg in order to monitor all traffic on eth0 and eth1, it works OK. But, how must I do in order to get monitor for a specific class ? If I make a snmpwalk (like README suggest), I get

Thanks, now I started getting messages from the list.
