Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
I missed that snmp-ups set pollfreq to 30 by default. I'd hope that it would set deadtime to an appropriate value as well than, no? Is there a way to query what the settings are or what the defaults are? I'm going to set POLLFREQ=30 and DEADTIME = 90 and see if that has any effect. I'll check for the logs. And if that doesn't get my anywhere I'll look at trying to simulate

Thanks. As mentioned, deadtime can't be set for snmp-ups. You see this in the logs. Mar 31 09:08:30 freenas notifier: Fatal error: 'DEADTIME' is not a valid variable name for this driver. Mar 31 09:08:30 freenas notifier: Look in the man page or call this driver with -h for a list of valid variable names and flags. While looking at /var/log/messages I also see this when starting

[EXTERNAL] thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
Re: "Does it work well with NUT?" Assuming it is the SU5000RT4UHV, the similar units I've tried seemed to work fine. For reference, the SU5000RT4UHV should be a 4004 USB protocol. ________________________________ From: David Zomaya Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 2020 5:21 PM To: Lee Damon; nut-upsuser Mailing List Subject: Re: [EXTERNAL] [Nut-upsuser] thoughts on tripp lite Smart

Connecting to Tripp-Lite SNMPWEBCARD
Hey! I was wondering if anybody has had any luck getting a Tripp Lite UPS with the SNMPWEBCARD working with NUT? I haven?t been able to get it working using the same steps I did getting an APC unit working. I have been able to get snmpwalk to work with SNMP 1 so theoretically it should work for at least that snmp v1. We are using Centos 6.4 with NUT version nut-2.6.5-2.el6.src.rpm. We currently

Problems with a Tripplite Smart150LCD UPS
I am currently running FreeNAS-8.3.1-RELEASE-x64 (r13452) using the packaged version of NUT, 2.6.5, using the usbhid-ups (Generic HID driver 0.37). Here is the output of "/usr/local/libexec/nut/usbhid-ups -D -D -D -D -D -D -a tripplite": Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.37 (2.6.5) USB communication driver 0.31 0.000000 send_to_all: SETINFO driver.parameter.port

Offer of Tripplite OMNIVS1500XL to official nut developer
Hi all, I gave up on a Tripplite OMNIVS1500XL due to it failing to work on the version of Nut in FreeNAS (and having experienced numerous issues on Debian Jessie as well due to incomplete/unknown protocol elements causing USB problems and Debian Wheezy doesn't even recognize the device). Since the issue is likely lack of information (i.e. unknown protocol) I'm not sure my offer of device

I'm obviously biased but I like Tripp Lite stuff. I try to pitch in and help with Network UPS Tools issues related to Tripp Lite when I can too (albeit the developers and users on this list are usually more helpful than me). Just to confirm, it sounds like you are looking at the SU5000RT4UHV, correct?

Tripp-Lite SMART1500XL
I've having no success trying to use the tripplite driver to communicate with a Tripp-Lite SMART1500XL via the serial port. I'm using the cable that was included with the UPS. The tripplite driver simply returns "Failed - giving up..." after 20 seconds. I have verified that the tripplite driver is sending ":W" out the serial port. I am able to use Tripp-Lite's

Thanks. I haven't used that unit specifically with Network UPS Tools, but have used similar (from a protocol perspective) units. I'm working remotely for a while, but on the off chance I get into the position to connect a unit via USB, what Operating System are you using? If the opportunity arises, I can try to set up a basic test. Thank you, David Zomaya Business/Quality Analyst-

TrippLite AVR550U start on power
I have a TrippLite AVR550U that my company uses several individual Linux boxes in one large system, all running Ubuntu 18.04LTS, and all will be using the package version of nut - 2.7.4. In my scenario, our usage case is for the PCs to all shut down, followed by the individual UPSes, when mains power is removed from the whole system. (This isn't a typical setup for UPS, but it's what

OS: Enterprise Linux 6, Nut version: 2.6.5. ups.conf is configured: [trippliteups] driver = snmp-ups port = 10.200.254.39 desc = "ProductionServer"

Tripplite SMX1500XLRT2U through serial
Hello list- Anyone with Tripplite SMX1500XLRT2U (http://www.tripplite.com/EN/products/model.cfm?txtModelID=2687) successfully integrated with NUT through serial port? I'm trying to connect to SMX1500XLRT2U using serial cable shipped with UPS under FreeBSD 6.3-STABLE and NUT 2.2.2 installed from ports. Unfortunately, it looks like it couldn't be recognized. %dmesg | grep sio sio0:

TrippLite SmartPro UPS and nut-2.0.2
I have a TrippLite SmartPro UP (SMART3000RM2U) that shipped with the DB9 cable# 73-0866. nut doesn't recognize the UPS using the tripplite driver. I found this page: http://www.tripplite.com/support/download/PA12/help/device.htm The link lists the SmartPro series as using the cables 73-0724 or 73-0844 and the Internet 350/525 is listed as using a cable 73-0866. Tripplite Smart Int 1000 - wrong numbers
I do have some of the more modern protocol documentation for Tripplite from the tripplite engineers, if someone is working on updating the Tripplite drivers. Their protocols are horrible.
