Success: Digitus DN-170020
Hello,
just want to report a successful installation of the Digitus DN-170020
UPS. Works mostly without problems with the megatec driver and the
included cable, a few issues arose:
- the toggle beeper command seems not to work for this UPS.
- to shutdown and cut the power line, a delay has to be inserted for
the driver; without the UPS just beeps but does not switch off.
- the test commands do

Help: Vultech UPS 1500VA (richcomm_usb)
Hello and welcome!
Just recently there was a trip down the memory lane with another device
with Richcomm-based hardware, and ultimately nutdrv_qx driver happened to
support that one: https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/2395
Some key take-aways were:
* try starting the driver with bumped debug verbosity (e.g. from command
line, or using a `debug_min` setting with NUT v2.8.0 and

request of information
Hello.
My name is Ilir Danaj.
Last week i bought an UPS from Digitus vendor the Model DN-170091 because I
have to connect it with the server from the USB port.
I check on your site form compability models, but I see the old model of
DN-170014.
Does it have to update, or I bought a wrong UPS.
Thank you in advance.
*Best*

Richcomm Serial driver
Hi,
I'm trying to configure my ups with nut which is a locally made one. It
uses a rs232 port to talk to the computer and comes with a software called
"Powermanager Lite" which is provided by Richcomm and supports Windows,
Linux and UNIX. According to the manual it uses the Richcomm circuitry to
talk to the computer and uses a drycontact protocol. Unfortunately I
couldn't

How do I get the richcomm_usb driver
I am a complete novice in this area so please bear with me.
I have installed nut version 2.6.2-1 for my debian 64bit system.
I am trying to implement 'nut' for a new VIX2120 home UPS and have
determined that I need the richcomm_usb driver [usb 0925:1234]. But it
is not in /lib/nut although referenced in the documentation (driver.list)
How do get hold of a copy?
Due to ignorance I am not

wrong :)
I'm new to NUT and trying to get things working on my TrueNAS, I have a
"Vultech 1500VA" UPS which comes with the software "PowerManager II" and it
seems to be using the "richcomm_usb" driver. There are 5 devices in the
compatibility list and I tried all of them, sadly to

Sorry if I wasn't clear - I was advocating *renaming* the lakeview_usb
driver to richcomm_usb.
Is there another

Help with USB support for a Kebo UPS-650D
Folks,
I'm fairly new to this whole Linux UPS thingie, but I'd quite like to have a
look at getting my UPS to work under Linux and would be grateful for any
help in getting a driver. I have a reasonable working knowledge of Linux and
software development, and thus am happy to modify config files, alter kernel
settings, etc, although I'm no C guru.
I have a Kebo UPS-650D, which

hardware, I'll fiddle with it and then report back my findings.
Cheers,

MGE Pulsar Evolution 1100 - USB - error sending control message
Hi all,
Have been using Nut on Linux for over ten years now and find it
brilliant. Thanks.
Just upgraded to 2.4.2 and have the 5 or 6 models of UPS's that we use
(apcsmart, megatec, mge-shut, surgemax, digitus) all working including
the MGE Pulsar Evolution 1100 on a USB connection using the usbhid-ups
driver. Running on SLES9. Old but we still have a few servers out

Energy efficient UPS - anybody?
Hello,
i`m looking for a nut-compatible low-power UPS (need to hook a home-server+dsl equipment with a load of ~50W to that) which should be as energy efficient as possible and be also affordable.
i currently have an older powerwalker which constantly burns ~15W for nothing. The transformer inside getting that hot that you don`t like to touch it and i think 15W out of 50 is a little bit high
