occassional problem wtih upslog and apc ups units via snmp ... [NA] status
I see this in syslog: Aug 12 03:57:22 orion upsd[18274]: Data for UPS [a102-apc-10] is stale - check driver (one for each UPS). Then I see a bunch of messages like this: Aug 12 03:58:02 orion upsd[18274]: write() failed for ::1: Broken pipe Aug 12 03:58:02 orion snmpd[2872]: Connection from UDP: [127.0.0.1]:50940 And then it returns to normal like this: Aug 12 03:58:04 orion upsd[18274]: UPS

APC UPS SNMP board
I know this isn't exactly the right place to ask, but I figure at least *someone* on this list has done it once. I recently acquired an AP9617 web/snmp management board for my UPS. The web and telnet part of it work great. However, I can't get *anything* from the snmp interface. I've triple-checked the community name and access settings (currently are wide open). I've ensured

Using snmp for APC smarts
Hi, I'm new to nut. I have some 100 APC Smart-UPS 2200 & 3000's and I'm trying to do some calibration test on them. I've installed nut, with driver = snmp-ups mibs = apcc in ups.conf. I can read the variables using upsc. However it seems, I can't actually execute commands on the UPSses this way. ( upscmd some-ups calibrate.start ) Do I miss something, or are those

APC AP9617 SNMP returns strange errors
Hi, we do have APC Smart-UPS each with AP9617 and latest FW. As we found out we are not able to shutdown the UPS via SNMP - neither immediately nor delayed. And we cannot set values, but we can read them correctly. So it seems as we are not able to write to the UPS and get back strange errors. root at abex:/etc/nut# upsdrvctl -DDDD shutdown apc10001 Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller

Nut 2.0.1, net-snmp-5.1.2p2, APC SUA1000 with AP9606: repeated comm lost/established messages
Hello list members, I am running NUT 2.0.1 on an OpenBSD 3.8 system, using the OpenBSD port for net-snmp-5.1.2p2. The UPS is connected via an AP9606 Web/SNMP card with current firmware, and the LAN. All goes well for a long time, usually more than one month. Then the system starts spitting messages about losing communications with the UPS. A second message about reconnecting follows immediately.

Is it possible to control an APC masterswitch VM (ap9221) over the network (snmp)?
I have been trying to figure out how to do this, anyone know if it's possible? I've tried using the snmp-ups driver and the apcc mibs but I get this error in the logs: Can't connect to UPS [MYUPS] (snmp-ups-MYUPS): No such file or directory I have been able to connect to my ups using the snmp driver successfully. Both use the same AP9606 network card, but have different APP and AOS

occassional problem wtih upslog and apc ups units via snmp ... [NA] status
Os is redhat enterprise, kernel 2.6.18-164.2.1.e15 NUT is apparently 2.4.1 It was installed by tar. Monitoring a lot of apc UPS units-mostly Smart-UPS of various flavors, also a Silcon DP380E. Normally works just fine... "upslog" writes status log every 30 seconds with various parameters.. Every so often, one of the UPS units has a log entry of:

SNMP Stuff/MIBs for CyberPower and APC UPSs
Hey all, I recently got an RMCARD205 for my Cyber UPS.... if I use no MIBS line in the config file, I get this: > Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.6.5 > Network UPS Tools - Generic SNMP UPS driver 0.68 (2.6.5) > No matching MIB found for sysOID '.1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.1'! > Please report it to NUT developers, with an 'upsc' output for your device. >

I haven't tried it, but if snmp-ups polls every 30 seconds, and MAXAGE is 15, then with a random polling interval, 50% of the time the data would be more than 15 seconds old. In

using nut to monitor SNMP UPS unit
Hi all, I've been trying to build NUT (latest release source) on a pretty "standard" CentOS (RHEL style) linux box, to monitor an APC Symmetra UPS Unit which powers our server room and broadcasts information via SNMP to appropriate clients. I am having some trouble even encouraging NUT to build with snmp support, which doesn't seem to happen by default. I am curious if anyone

Query SNMP
Hello, I want to collect the same statistics that NUT can provide via SNMP. But, I don't have the special card, and would want to use the serial port to get the data. How does this work? I have tried, but so far no luck. Any ideas? Thank You.

snmp-ups shutdowns
This apparently implies that, unlike some docs say, the snmp-ups driver can send the shutdown signals (is not crippled by design)? ;) Also, are those oids apc-private or commonly used/standard among snmp upses?
