[PATCH] fentonups patch to make it work with some powercom ups's
Hi list here is the patch to make fentonups recognize some PowerCOM's UPS's, and to setup terminal lines for them (at least for SMK-1500a) as powercom's original upsmon do. fentonups -x powercom works correctly with SMK-1500a (it screamed ''Communications with UPS lost - check cabling' or 'Short read during UPS id sequence' without this patch). Sorry for

fentonups driver patch for Effekta MHD3000 UPS
Hi ups-devel, As I looked throw www.networkupstools.org site, haven't found any pointers where to send patches, so I hope this is the right place. (Please let me know weather this is the right place.) The patch contains a minor change in the logic of the driver, our Effekta MHD 3000 UPS continuously writes status data to the serial port, so one has to send a CR character and empty the

Sustainer S-1000C (Powercom protocol)
Hi *Simon, i got a similar setup here (also a powercom-oem-product, but in my case labeled by a swiss "manufacturer") with the same problems, using powercom's upsmon works fine, while nut completely refuses to cooperate. after trying almost everything i somehow hopeless surfed on the official nut-page, when i saw that there are powercom-products which don't need the

More info about Unitek UPS not working with Megatec driver
Hi again, I tested several times using the Megatec driver from nut 2.2.2 to no avail, as it definitely never "sees" the UPS. Always getting : # drivers/megatec -DDD -a Alpha Network UPS Tools 2.2.2 - Megatec protocol driver 1.5.14 [megatec] Carlos Rodrigues (c) 2003-2008 debug level is '3' Starting UPS detection process... Config for powercom 2200
Hey all, I've tried some very base configs with the powercom 2200, but I can't seem to get it to work. Has anyone dealt with these UPSes before, or know if they use the standard powercom drivers? I'd be more than happy to allow access to my test system so someone more knowledgeable can take a look (and am also willing to pay something for the solution of said problem.) -Dan

Driver for Ultra UPS BNT-1000AP
Hi I purchased an Ultra 1000VA UPS (http://www.ultraproducts.com/product_details.php?cPath=35&pPath=154&productID=154) I am trying to use nut with it (I am using gentoo linux) but can't find the proper driver. The numbers on the back suggest it might be similar to Black Knight Pro BNT-1000AP from Powercom (http://www.powercom-usa.com/ProductDetail.asp?ID=8974). So I tried the powercom

Megatec - modem control lines
Carlos, Today I was browsing through the NUT Tracker and noticed an entry which linked to a message on nut-upsdev: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-January/000559.html Although the fentonups driver is no longer in the tree (since it was replaced by the megatec driver), I think there is still some merit in this patch. Notice the following lines from this message: >

Which driver should be used for PowerMan 2000 Real Smart ?
Hi, folks! Which driver should be used for PowerMan 2000 Real Smart? Backpro 1000 Plus is successfully monitored by genericups/upstype=4, but this's not working for RealSmart2000. Somebody wrote in blogs at http://k001.livejournal.com/270848.html that RealSmart can be monitored using "fentonups" driver but this is false on my box. WBR, Ilya

REGRESSION: New "megatec" driver does't work for UPS that was managed by old fentonups driver
Hi there, A couple years ago, I had patched the "fentonups" nut driver to allow it to work with my Unitek Alpha 500 UPS. My patch had been accepted and incorporated in the standard fentonups driver. I have had no time to stay involved in the "nut" project since (and besides this I'm not a developper...). 2 days ago I upgraded from Ubuntu Gutsy to Ubuntu Hardy and got

Hi I'm hoping someone can help. I'm running fc5 with nut 2.0.3. I just recently acquired 2 Gamatronic SmartCompact ups for my Linux boxes. As you can see from the info below, everything looks ok. When I unplug the ups from the wall, after a while, the computer shutdowns very rudely. That it is just turns off. No scrolling down of processes shutting down It does not seem shutdown

Powercom BNT-600AP and NUT (powercom driver)
Hello, I'm new there. I bought an UPS Powercom BNT-600AP. It's compatible in NUT with driver powercom and protocol type KIN1500AP. But I have a simple problem: the 'upsc' shows wrong values in battery.charge (maybe in other rows also /ups.load, voltages?/) - if battery is 100% charged it shows only 92.6% or 93.0%. I thing I have wrong values in driver parameters: batteryPercentage,
