HP/Compaq Rackmount UPS Support? [SOLVED]
Hi Denny. Nice, i have entered the HP R5500 XR to the drivers.list in the Testing and Development tree. Some info for you when you setup the nut. The shutdown_delay of the driver is internal to the ups. It calculate the time it can run after low-battery with the load. So when it comes to OB LB it starts the shutdown_delay and power off after it runs out. This is the normal way, as you would

New NUT user with HP R3000XR problem
Greetings, I've just installed nut-2.4.1 on a Solaris 10 x86 machine to monitor a HP R3000XR UPS. SunOS babylon4 5.10 Generic_138889-08 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris First of all, I encountered a single problem during the build. After configuring, drivers/Makefile ends up containing the following line: LIBNETSNMP_LDFLAGS = -R../lib -L/usr/sfw/lib -lnetsnmp -lgen [...] This is clearly

Debian Squeeze / Powerware 9135 450KVA UPS
Hi All, I'm a system administrator of a large data center, and I've recently replaced the machine that acted as the nut master for our cluster/cloud. The machine that was interfacing with our Powerware 9135 450KVA 3 phase UPS, not to confused with Eaton's Powerware 9135, and was a Fedora Core 4 box running nut version 2.0.3-4 connected by a serial cable. We are using these versions

can't connect to an Eaton Powerware 9155 over a usb-serial adapter
hello everyone, I've been testing the NUT solution as opposed to the undocumented LanSafe application to control my Eaton UPS. I am on a Slackware 13.37 system with a 2.6.37.6 kernel. NUT version is 2.4.3 . I installed the tarball by compiling it directly on my system (as a slackbuild package). The UPS is an Eaton Powerware 9155, but I don't know how to obtain the manufacturing date. The

Compaq T700
Hi Has anyone got a Compaq(/HP) T700 UPS to work with the BCMXCP driver? I've built yesterday's CVS of NUT 2.1 on one of my FreeBSD systems but chown root:wheel /dev/cuaa0 /usr/local/libexec/upsdrvctl -u root start gives: -- Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.1.0 Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.10 (2.1.0) Communications with UPS lost: Error executing command

help w/ Powerware Prestige 9
Hi, I've got a Powerware Prestige 9 1kVA UPS that seems to not be working with nut. It's not in the current "supported hardware" list, but the old bcmxcp page lists it as being a UPS that speaks that protocol. I have the following in my ups.conf [powerware] driver = bcmxcp port = /dev/ttyS0 desc = "Powerware Prestige 9 EXT" baud_rate = 2400 And when I start the

bcmxcp - Powerware 9125
I'm currently testing the bcmxcp driver for NUT, and it causes me some trouble. And when scanning the archives it seems like the 3110 USB problem reported recently. The bcmxcp daemon stops running, and the logs shows the following: Oct 6 14:22:32 host.dom.tld bcmxcp[82628]: Communications with UPS lost: Receive error (data): got -1 bytes instead of 28!!! HP R3000 XR, warning or perhaps error
Hi, So far I've gleaned heaps of useful info from the list and got mostly running with NUT. There was a thread by Paul Battaglia and Kjell Claesson about the R3000 which has helped me get so far, but now with the patched driver I still have this on startup: # /usr/local/ups/bin/upsdrvctl start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.5 Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.11

HP R3000XR charge level
This is not a NUT question per se ... or at least, I don't think it is. I just replaced the battery pack in my HP R3000XR; the new batteries were shipped with 90% charge, were at about 87% when they went in, and were up to 98% charge the next day. Last weekend, the server that runs NUT went down for no apparent reason, wiping out its boot blocks, corrupting its boot archive beyond
