Adding tripplite smart1500 UPS to tripplite_usb
Hello, I have a Tripplite SMART1500 UPS, and I'm having a little luck with the tripplite_usb driver. Only a LITTLE though. It's working better than any of the other drivers I've tried, but I'm not getting a status from it. Here's the output of upsc: battery.voltage: 0.00 battery.voltage.nominal: 36 driver.name: tripplite_usb driver.parameter.port: /dev/hiddev0

TrippLite SmartPro UPS and nut-2.0.2
I have a TrippLite SmartPro UP (SMART3000RM2U) that shipped with the DB9 cable# 73-0866. nut doesn't recognize the UPS using the tripplite driver. I found this page: http://www.tripplite.com/support/download/PA12/help/device.htm The link lists the SmartPro series as using the cables 73-0724 or 73-0844 and the Internet 350/525 is listed as using a cable 73-0866. I have a few 73-0844s

Gamatronic UPS using nut 2.0.3
I have a Gamatronic Smart Compact 750. I have it connected to my linux machine via serial cable and am running nut 2.0.3. There is no interruption in power, but the ups is reporting OB (on battery). Is there a configuration option I am missing? The relevant ups.conf entry is: [Gamatronic] port = /dev/ttyS1 desc = "Home Gamatronic UPS" driver = genericups

Need to test serial port connection
I recently bought a new UPS, and I''m attempting to use nut to monitor it. Following setup instructions everything seemed to go well until it came to testing the connection, which failed. There is just one serial connector on the computer, so I set it to monitor /dev/ttyS0. Either that is wrong, or communication is failing. I''ve been told to try minicom to monitor it,

Creating your own CA and SSL certificates
I've been looking all over (google, wiki, manuals) for docs, and I can't find any mention of how to set up a CA or certificates *specifically for centos 5 / upstream 5*. There are plenty of generic guides on using openssl for this sort of thing, but I'd like to play nice within the standard structure of this system. I've found the /etc/pki directory, but can't find much

For the OP: Did you even try Google before asking the list? Google should always be your first choice. http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/linux-iphone-6.html For Scott: If you install the VLC app on the iPad you can probably skip the transcoding and also having to add the video to iTunes first. You'll only need to transcode the audio if it uses AC3, which is proprietary and the owners
