[RFC] Adding a char set converter to Support library
Hi!
On z/OS, there is the need to convert strings from EBCDIC to UTF-8 and
vice versa.
Using the POSIX iconv functions has some challenges, so I created a small
wrapper
around this functionality to get the same result on all platforms. This
functionality
is required for reading and writing GOFF object files and can also be used
in the
frontend.
I put up the code on Phabricator

[RFC] Adding a char set converter to Support library
My understanding is that dynamically linking should pose no problem, but I
am no lawyer. On Linux, glibc is also under LGPL license, and LLVM usually
links against it.
(There is really no need for us to depend on libiconv. If it is deemed to
risky, then I can dropped it.)

Memory mapping assumptions in RuntimeDyld
Hi!
Implementing the Memory::allocateMappedMemory() function on z/OS, I see a
failure in the AArch64 COFF test case.
The test case has 3 sections. For each section,
Memory::allocateMappedMemory() is called to reserve memory.
If the distance between the pointers gets too large, then the test case
fails. It can be reliable produced with
a distance of 1MB between the pointers. An easy way to

Boxplot using Formula
I am trying to use the formula interface for the boxplot.
Currently running R 2.2.1 on Windows XP.
The problem is that boxplot is displaying groups that are empty in the
plot.
The following example demonstrates what it is happening (though my actual
situation is a little more complicated):

ebcdic problem in bufaux.c
I am working on a port of Openssh 3.8p1 after already
having done a port of Openssh 3.5p1. There are a
couple of new lines in buffer_get_bignum2() that are
causing me problems:
if (len > 0 && (bin[0] & 0x80))
fatal("buffer_get_bignum2: negative
numbers not supported");
The "& 0x80" check is not relevant in ebcdic.
Does anyone

TO SYMMETRY AND ASYMMETRY-----NOW ADD SUPERSYMMETRY
Open Letter to Developers,
Is there any way you can cut through the mob scene at Homeland Defense with a powerful new encryption/decryption formula? The government cryptography bunch are stuck in symmetry and asymmetry and are deaf/dumb/blind to supersymmetry.
When it's so easy to line up a supersymmetrical hypercube fractal-to-fractal, pair-to-pair, quantum-to-quantum and slice through

Trouble authenticating clients from ADS domain on Samba 3.0.5 file server
I'm so close I can feel it :-)
I'm having a problem connecting users to their home directories. Under "My
Network Places" on XP clients I can see my Samba file server ("Hobbes")
just fine. When I double click on it to open it, I get a login/password
prompt that I can't bypass even though I try logins/passwords that exist
on the ADS server and/or the UNIX accounts.

SSH for OS/390 (ODBC SSH-Tunneling to OS/390)
Hi Martin,
my name's Daragh, and I'm a renewal projects architect in the
University of Chicago. I saw your name on a listserv - openssh-unix-dev. I
was hoping you could lend some insight to a problem we're trying to solve.
We are trying to find a way for an Oracle database to connect
securely to a mainframe (OS/390 running Model204 DB) through ODBC (Open

Anybody want EBCDIC Support for Samba 1.9.18?
We've ported samba 1.9.18p1 to OS/390 Unix (nee MVS), and it
seems to be very much in demand among the mainframe folks. We'd
like to integrate our changes back into the mainline development
stream. Our changes consist entirely of patches to ensure that
the code works on an EBCDIC system, as well as a new facility
that allows for ASCII/EBCDIC data conversion on the fly for files

Joining Dataframes
I am attempting to join several dataframes that summarize sampling effort
for different samples into one large data.frame/table.
I have looked at the merge command, but have not been clever enough to
figure out how to get it to do what I want.
A simplified example of what I am trying to do:
The dataframes I have look like this (they were generated using the table
command)

Is it possible to store the log file by day?

with the time goes by.Is it possible to do this ?

I just checked gcc 4.6 and looks like you are right, it uses ___chkstk_ms.
LGTM. We should probably commit this first, since it is common for gcc
4.6 and newer.

[LLVMdev] PR17975 and trunk
Hi,
PR17975 was caused by r191059 which was reverted on the 3.4 branch in
r196521. However, the problem still occurs with trunk (confirmed as
of r206186).
>From a thread on cfe-commits I see that Kai Nacke (the author of
r191059) was working on a patch to fix PR17975, but the conversation

invalid probe specifier nge::entry: "/usr/lib/dtrace/procfs.d"
I recently did a backport of a couple of networking bug fixes from s10x_u4_b6 to s10x_u3_b10. I patched just /platform/i86pc/kernel/unix and /platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix in my existing u3 OS image and I''m seeing this dtrace problem when running any dtrace script:
NODE hcb101 ~ $ ./tcpstat.sh

[LLVMdev] Is addrspacecast implemented on Windows?
Hi all!
On x86_64, segment prefix fs: is in address space 257 and gs: in address
space 256. (BTW: are there constants for these magic values?) How can I
use this in IR? I want to express this assembler code in IR:
mov RAX, 8;
mov RAX, GS:[RAX];
ret;
I tried the following:
define i64 @getStackBottom(i64 %addr) {
entry:
%ptr = inttoptr

Hi all,
I use the nightly builds of LLVM in my Travis CI configuration. Travis
CI is based on Ubuntu 12.04 precise.
Currently, I am not able to install llvm-3.4 and llvm-3.4-dev. The error
is always:
