llvm/clang documentation i18n ?
Hi James, Yes, documents changes over the time. And keeping them up-to-date would takes a lot of efforts. I tried years ago (2013~2015) with clang v3.4 , and finally I gave up. It's too much for one person to complete. The reason I come up again with this idea is that I saw people still referencing the partial complete Chinese docs and sharing it among others. And there's other people

i18n friendly, plugable Rails Core
In my work with a simple localization plugin, i''m running into a lot of places in the Rails core, where text and other localization specific information is hardcoded. I''ve included some examples in the bottom of this post. It''s hard for an outsider to know, if the hardcoded values are a result of inconsistency in code, or "by design". I hope that we can have

ActiveRecord validation messages not I18N-friendly and enforces grammar
ActiveRecord validation messages are currently not I18N-friendly. Specifically, I''m referring to the fact that it enforces a certain grammar, namely the beginning of the message must consist of the field name. For example: validates_presence_of :name, :message => "can''t be blank." ...generates the message "Name can''t be blank". This grammar

Chinese, Japanese, Korean Tokenizer.
Hi, I am looking for Chinese Japanese and Korean tokenizer that could can be use to tokenize terms for CJK languages. I am not very familiar with these languages however I think that these languages contains one or more words in one symbol which it make more difficult to tokenize into searchable terms. Lucene has CJK Tokenizer ... and I am looking around if there is some open source that we

Likelihood ratio test for proportional odds logistic regression
Hi, I want to do a global likelihood ratio test for the proportional odds logistic regression model and am unsure how to go about it. I am using the polr() function in library(MASS). 1. Is the p-value from the likelihood ratio test obtained by anova(fit1,fit2), where fit1 is the polr model with only the intercept and fit2 is the full polr model (refer to example below)? So in the case of the

Hi, I try to use lm to fit a linear model with 600k rows and 70 attributes. But I can't even load the data into the R environment. The error message says the vector memory is used up. Is there anyone having experience with large datasets in R? (I bet) Please advise. thanks, Yun-Fang [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

"==" gives incorrect answers! (PR#6691)
Full_Name: Dong-Yun Kim Version: 1.7.0/1.8.1 OS: WinMe/WinXP Submission from: (NULL) (4.33.147.192) Hi all, It appears that R has a problem with evaluating logical "==" operator. The following are a few examples I found: > 2.1+0.2==2.3 [1] FALSE > 2.7+0.1==2.8 [1] FALSE > 2.7+0.2==2.9 [1] FALSE > 3.1+0.2==3.3 [1] FALSE Thanks. Dong-Yun Kim

Finishing up the contributors list as well
Guys, OK, now that we have the new core contributors squared away, we can go back to finishing the contributors list. There were some people who got added and then there is existing contributors list. I think Darren''s suggestion to wait to add new core contributors is fine (let the new constitution settle down and we can in the meanwhile have a more inclusive look at both rather than

Documentation on CBS
Dear all, During the course of translating the wiki into Chinese, I came across two pages related to CBS. There is https://wiki.centos.org/SIGGuide/CommunityBuildsystem , which was copied from /HowTos/CommunityBuildSystem on 1 March 2016. Then there is https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/CommunityBuildSystem , which was last edited on 22 June 2016. Perhaps the authors of those two pages

Rails 3: I18n.locale not set to I18n.default_locale in production
I have an application that uses I18n, but in the first deployment, I don''t want to enable different languages per user/request because there are very few users who all speak german). Therefore I have config.i18n.default_locale = :de in config/ application.rb. I have no code whatsoever to set/change I18n.locale in my app. In development environment, it works as expected: the

Capture warning messages from coxph()
Hi, I want to fit multiple cox models using the coxph() function. To do this, I use a for-loop and save the relevant results in a separate matrix. In the example below, only two models are fitted (my actual matrix has many more columns), one gives a warning message, while the other does not. Right now, I see all the warning message(s) after the for-loop is completed but have no idea which model

[LLVMdev] Request to review patch for bug #14792
http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=14792 Problem: In the i386 ABI Page 3-10, it said that the stack is aligned. However, the two example code show that does not handle the alignment correctly when using variadic function. For example, if the size of the first argument is 17, the overflow_arg_area in va_list will be set to "address of first argument + 16" instead of "address of
