The AnghaBench collection of compilable programs
Hi Florian, we though about using UIUC, like in LLVM. Do you guys know if that could be a problem, given that we are mining the functions from github? > Have you thought about integrating the benchmarks as external tests into LLVM’s test-suite? That would make it very easy to play around with. We did not think about it actually. But we would be happy to do it, if the community accepts

Adding a new External Suite to test-suite
Hi Johannes, > I'd also like to know what the intention here is. What is tested and how? we have a few uses for these benchmarks in the technical report: http://lac.dcc.ufmg.br/pubs/TechReports/LaC_TechReport012020.pdf, but since then, we came up with other applications. All these programs produce object files without external dependencies. We have been using them to train a

Adding a new External Suite to test-suite
Hi Johannes, > All the use cases sound reasonable but why do we need these kind of "weird files" to do this? > > I mean, why would you train or measure something on single definition translation units and not on the original ones, potentially one function at a time? I think that's the fundamental question :) The short answer is that it is hard to compile the files from

Code size BoF Minutes
Dear LLVMers, concerning a few points of the discussion about code-size reduction (Minutes available at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kDsbFDtkWLceR-Y63ez04CBfvhbDN8RxWV3xXwaNUC0/edit?usp=sharing): > Do we need different levels like -Os1, -Os2, -Os3? Together with a colleague, Anderson Faustino, we spend some time finding optimization sequences that are good for code-size reduction.

Adding a new External Suite to test-suite
Greetings LLVMers, I would like to add the licensed part of AnghaBench (http://cuda.dcc.ufmg.br/angha/) as an External Test in the LLVM test-suite. We have 128,411 files with their original licenses. (http://www.dcc.ufmg.br/~fernando/coisas/c_files_with_licenses.tar.gz) Each file is a single function, that compiles as is---no dependencies are needed. For instance, the commands below work for each

How to plot multiple variables on the same graph
How to plot multiple variables on the same graph Dear R users, I want to plot the following variables (a, b, c) on the same graph. The x-axis must be the variable mat and the graph must have the type = "l". How to increase the for() loop speed?
Dear R users, I would like to know if there is a way to increase the for() loop speed because in my routine the calculations are too slow. Best regards. Computing ergodic mean with CODA
Hi all, I would like to compute ergodic mean using MCMC output from WinBUGS. I tried using CODA package, but it seems that it is not implemented yet. Could anyone help me to compute this? Attached to this email are my output and index files. Kind regards, Raquel -- Raquel Rangel de Meireles Guimar?es Doutoranda em Demografia raquel at cedeplar.ufmg.br

[LLVMdev] llvm-java
Hello, I'm working on a project to remove unnecessary array bound checks in Java. For this purpose I will need to use llvm-java. What is the state of llvm-java? Can someone explain how to build and use it? I saw some old emails on the list, and some about a SoC 2008 on Java, but I didn't find anything regarding its current state and documentation. [LLVMdev] llvm-java
Hello, LLVM-Java has been rendered obsolete by http://vmkit.llvm.org/ so look into using VMKit instead. --Sam ----- Original Message ---- > From: Andre Tavares <andrelct at dcc.ufmg.br> > To: LLVMdev at cs.uiuc.edu > Sent: Monday, May 18, 2009 10:09:42 AM > Subject: [LLVMdev] llvm-java > > Hello, > > I'm working on a project to remove unnecessary array

[LLVMdev] LLVM Graph Representation
I'm developing the ABCD algorithm for LLVM, and I will need to store some information as a digraph. I was thinking of a list of adjacency, implemented with a map<Instruction, Set<Node>>. The node would have an Instruction and a value. I opted for map and set, because I will create the graph once and will search on it a bunch of times, and will never remove a node. Is there

[LLVMdev] SSI and ABCD for LLVM
Dear Nicolas, I'm curious why you are using ABCD in vmkit. Do you need any features from static array bounds checking? As far as I know, SAFECode has a number of implementation for that. Thanks. [LLVMdev] Question about Value Range Propagation
Hi, Andrey, sorry for the delay: I made a page with the code available for download: http://homepages.dcc.ufmg.br/~douglas/projects/RangeAnalysis/RangeAnalysis.html Feel free to get it, and if you need some help, I will be happy to tell you how to set the analysis up, in case the explanation in the page is not good. I also have a report describing the implementation here: (

[LLVMdev] GSoC 2009 application
Dear LLVM Community, I'm a Computer Science master student at UFMG, Brasil. I'm interested in taking part on Google Summer of Codes 2009. My idea is not on the LLVM list, but I have written a project description to make my intentions clear. My project is attached as a pdf file. Strange problem with icons on the desktop
Thanks everyone for helping me get the home directories working over SMB, especially Ben Ford for his workaround for the Xauth and GDM. Now I've got a problem that, most likely, nobody's ever noticed before... or is something specific to me. I've got a Linux client, and a Samba server, and a Windows 2000 server, both set up EXACTLY the same. I've got a test user and the home

Automatic Insertion of OpenACC/OpenMP directives
Dear LLVMers, we have released a tool that uses LLVM to insert OpenACC or OpenMP 4.0 directives in programs. You can use the tool online here: http://cuda.dcc.ufmg.br/dawn/. Our tool, dawn-cc, analyzes the LLVM IR to infer the sizes of memory chunks, and to find dependences within loops. After that, we use debug information to translate the low-level information back into annotations that we

[LLVMdev] Range Analysis GSoC 2011 Proposal
Dear LLVM community, I would like to contribute to LLVM in the Google Summer of Code project. My proposal is listed below. Please let me know your comments. Adding Range Analysis to LLVM Abstract The objective of this work is patch our implementation of range analysis into LLVM. I have a running implementation of range analysis in LLVM, but it is not currently part of the main distribution. I

[LLVMdev] Question about Value Range Propagation

We were thinking of adding VRP to LLVM too, though we were mostly interested in Patterson's approach (i.e. not connected with SSI form). It
