How to install libquicktime on CentOS 7 in one (or two) line of command?
Hi,
For some reason, I need support of QuickTime on my CentOS 7. So I
searched the internet and found that something called "|libquicktime|"
can provide that support. So I download the rpm file from
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libquicktime%28x86-64%29.
Then I ran command "|rpm -i libquicktime-1.2.4-31.el7.x86_64.rpm|" and
got the following errors:

What is the offical variable scope best practice?
I read the guide at
http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/scope_and_puppet.htmland others''
mail, i am a little confused now, below is my understanding:
1. top scope only refers to site.pp, not include node definitions and facts.
2. in puppet class, using variables not local, must specify the namespace,
like $class::variable,
if it''s a top scope variable or a fact variable or a

A potentially newbie question about vulnerability patching speed in CentOS 7.x's yum repository
I've been dubbing with management of security vulnerabilities and their fixes for a while, recently I discovered there may be a delay in the process of software updates made available on CentOS yum repository.
take CVE-2017-5335 for example:
In redhat official notice board :https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/cve-2017-5335 we can see there is a link point to advisory for RHEL 7:

Help about time series
Hello,
When I create a ts object, I would like to get a particular value of this
time serie according to the date and not the rank.
However, it seems necessary to use the rank as if it were a simple vector.
I would be very grateful if you could help out of this.
I thank you in advance,

nut rpms for CenOS 4
Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know where to grab RPMs for nut? Or, at the very least, a
spec file that could be used to build a new one for CentOS 4?
I'd much rather use apcupsd, but the UPS in question is only supported
via nut.
Regards,
Ranbir

Problem updating ddclient
when I ran "sudo yum update" on my CentOS-7.2.1511 today,
ddclient was updated to ddclient-3.8.3-1.el7.noarch (from 3.7.3),
and ddclient.conf was moved to ddclient.conf.rpmsave .
When I move it back, "sudo systemctl restart ddclient"
fails with the error (in "sudo journalctl -xe | grep ddclient")

Problem with process_limit
Hello,
i have a problem with the process_limit configuration.
Occasionally, it happens that the dovecot.log shows this line:
master: Warning: service(imap): process_limit reached, client connections
are being dropped
So I checked, the process number, with the command:
ps auxwww | grep imap | grep -v login | wc -l
and it shows 1024.
Then, i edited the file /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-master.conf and
