[cfe-dev] Shortest RFC ever: I propose we rename files using `.TXT` extension to use `.txt`
I mean, I can try to get these to not be "renames" in svn... but surely modern windows SVN clients handle this correctly? (and git clienst?) Igraph library: How to calculate APSP (shortest path matrix) matrix for a subset list of nodes.
Dear R Users, I have a network of 25000 total nodes and a list of 500 node which is a subset of all nodes. Now I want to calculate the APSP (all pair shortest path) matrix only for these 500 nodes. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance Dinesh -- Dinesh Kumar Barupal Research Associate Metabolomics Fiehn Lab UCD Genome Center 451 East Health Science Drive GBSF Builidng University of

Live Migration... shortest path
In a prior message I documented my woes in getting an NFS_ROOT xen going. I haven''t resolved those yet, want to try a different tack at this: If the group were to recommend a path of least resistance to showing migration/live migration, which configuration would it be? Use postfix and spamd on CentOS 6 - looking for a shortest guide
Hello fellow CentOS-users, on the net there are lots of Spamassassin related HOWTOs - describing how to create a shell script for Postfix and how to install Spamassassin and start its spamd daemon - step by step. Additionally antivirus setups are described... But I have a strong feeling, that this is unneeded on CentOS 6 - because there are already preconfigured stock packages for postfix and

Asterisk in VMWare, how does it perform and what is the limit?
Hi, I'm coming up with ideas about building a cluster of asterisk servers, and am exploring the virtualization option. I'm curious to know some real-world data about how many extensions a VMWare install on good hardware could support. I've seen stories about how the hypervisor timeslicing can wreak havoc on call quality at some point. Is this really the case? If so, what's a

Mine strangest asterisk problem ever ....
Hi there, I'm going mad at this: Asterisk with one HFC isdn card, using the zaptel driver "bristuff" All works ok, but voice coming in/out of the isdn card is out of sync, squelky and disrupted, UNTIL I PUT SOME LOAD TO THE PC, let say launching xwindows. I noticed this: Strong HDD activity = voice is good HDD doing nothing = voice is not good I suppose this could be an

Faking system time
Hello all. I am trying to use WINE to make a windoze-only development environment (very rudimentar, command line cross-compiler and stuff) under Linux, because GNU make is far superior from the M$'s 'nmake'. Anyway, I have some trouble with expirating licenses and stuff, and the solution is to revert the system date back to some valid thing and then compile. Since I am now running

dare to compare -- live streams: ogg/WMA
hello all! After having read http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/listen.html and listened to the examples on that very educational page, I decided to augment the info. This example is more simple, it involves the comparision between two streams of the same radio station, FranceInter (a station of Radio France in Paris). The ogg stream is running at around 30 kbps/11 kHz in stereo. The WMA stream

Wine Unbearably Slow
After using Wine without any significant hitches for over a year, I've just come across one. Every time I load any application (even winecfg), it takes between thirty seconds to one minute for it to load. During this time, normal functions take forever or don't work at all (selecting folders, opening a file, etc.). Sometimes it will load and work just fine, but often the program continues

Single crontab entry for every 15 minutes beginning & ending on the hour
We have a cron job that needs to run every 15 minutes throughout business hours. The first run is at 8:00, the last run is at 17:00. Is it possible to specify this time range in a single line? */15 8-17 * * 1-5 will run 8:00 - 17:45. That's not what I want. Likewise */15 8-16 * * 1-5 will have the last run at 16:45, not 17:00 This is more of a brainteaser than a real problem. I can

vorbis' configure
It seems that the configure script in CVS does not check the CFLAGS environment variable at all. Indeed, on line 121 of configure.in, CFLAGS is explicitly set to be blank. Is this done for a reason? I see that several sets of CFLAGS are passed into the Makefiles by configure based upon specific architecture/compiler combinations -- perhaps this is the reason...? I ask because users may wish to
