Master privileges unavailable on UPS
Hello all, I'm having problems with what I'm told should be a straightforward issue. The message in /var/log/daemon is: <quote> Feb 13 10:37:57 lupin upsmon[31324]: Master privileges unavailable on UPS [lupin1500AVR@localhost]

has anybody gotten horde working?
Hi, Horde seems to be quite the problem child. It sorta kinda looks like session handling is entirely broken. kronolith will let me in, but not for long. Then I get "invalid token" and am bounced back to the home screen. imp won't let me in at all. This behavior is completely broken: I get a log in screen and a message in /var/log/messages about not being authorized for IMP (which

need simpler directions on user authentication
Hi all, My situation is this: I have postfix running on a Linode under Arch Linux. A recent upgrade to dovecot broke the configuration. Now I get "Couldn't drop privileges: User is missing UID (see mail_uid setting)." I do not want virtual users. I do not particularly want SQL or LDAP. I do have multiple domains. I do use Maildir. I already have SSL certificates for the server

CyberPower 550SL reports LB and OB when on line power
I am using nut 2.2.2 and I have a CyberPower CP550SL. According to the drivers list, I should be using genericups with upstype set to 7, but when I try that and when I run upsc I get: driver.name: genericups driver.parameter.LB: 04 driver.parameter.pollinterval: 2 driver.parameter.port: /dev/ups driver.parameter.upstype: 7 driver.version: 2.2.2 driver.version.internal: 1.34 ups.mfr: CyberPower

Working UPS report: Geek Squad GS-700U (Cyberpower clone?)
Hi, I wanted to report some success with monitoring this UPS, a "Geek Squad" brand GS-700U that I purchased earlier this year from Best Buy Canada. Information about this... thing is very scarce so here is what I know: The unit itself is probably made by Cyberpower. It has a 9-pin serial port on the UPS, as well as a serial-USB adapter thing. I cracked open the serial-USB

cyberpower driver
I'm looking for people that are using the 'cyberpower' driver that has been available for some years now. It seems the overhauled 'powerpanel' driver could support your UPS too. The commands and status bytes used are identical, the only difference being the way the values read for battery charge, temperature and frequency are interpreted. If we can find a way to detect when to

Problems with MGE ESV 8+ and NUT 2.0.3
Hello, I recently had a failure with my old MGE ESV8 ups, it just died on me so I had to get a new one. I found a MGE ESV8+ cheap and everything seems to work fine with it except the communication with the computer. The old ESV8 (non +) worked fine with NUT after applying some patches I got from the mailing list, but I think they are in the source tree now. I'm using the same cable that

Tripplite SMX1500XLRT2U through serial
Hello list- Anyone with Tripplite SMX1500XLRT2U (http://www.tripplite.com/EN/products/model.cfm?txtModelID=2687) successfully integrated with NUT through serial port? I'm trying to connect to SMX1500XLRT2U using serial cable shipped with UPS under FreeBSD 6.3-STABLE and NUT 2.2.2 installed from ports. Unfortunately, it looks like it couldn't be recognized. %dmesg | grep sio sio0:

Using procmail to mark messages as read in dovecot
So, I use procmail extensively, and I have for a long time, but marking messages as 'read' in a Maildir has always been a little wonky: TRAP='mv "$LASTFOLDER" "${LASTFOLDER}:2,S"' Since I've switched to dovecot, is there a way to mark a message on delivery as read or not new or seen? -- Clarke's Law: Sufficiently advanced technology is
