How to handle MySQL data types SET and ENUM in the application
Hi,
I wonder how I should use the SET and ENUM data types in my MySQL
database combined with a rails application.
This is my current _form.rhtml file for products:

Looking for a libai(n) library
Hi
I see that the libao deal with output of sound to various targets (esg,
arts, alsa, oss etc...) Is there a high level library that makes it easy
to get the input from f.ex a microphone or line-in etc... for recording
purposes? Preferably platform independant.
Thanks in advance for any hints.

First I don't know if this is the correct list, so please point me

Hi,
I just installed NUT to monitor 4 UPS, all APC, all with Network card

NUT have problem to access the following SNMP OID on all the UPSes:

Any word on when the ietf mib will be fixed for liebert?
This mib used to work, so is there a way to go back to the version
prior to this one without downgrading the whole package?

First, at start, the drivers complains that the Liebert apparently

Powerware 9155 with SNMP card
Hi,
I got a shiny pair of new PowerWare 9155 UPS (3 input phaes, one output
phase), running parallel. Since I didn't want to install a Windows box
to run Powerwares software I now went nut(s) ;-)
So far things look pretty good, snmp-ups talks to both ups using the pw
mib. Though I get these messages, when I start the driver:

Nut 2.1 vs the resilient Powerware 9170+
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I figured out why nut seemed to segfault at startup from my Solaris
boxes (and snmp-ups too) - I believe that nut is trying to use some MIBs
that do not exist on my particular PW9170, for whatever reason. It dies
on my Linux box too, complaining like this:
pkdick:~/nut/bin# ./snmp-ups -x mibs=pw -x community=publicstring upsname

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card
Hello list,
I've installed NUT on an HP blade server, and I try to get it
communicating via SNMP with 2 HP R3000 UPSes, each fitted with a AF465A
management card. To do this, I used the snmp-ups driver, and configured
it for the "cpqpower" MIB. Communication with the UPSes is established.
My problem is that both UPSes constantly return the "OL OB" status
which, in

That would be a great help, I appreciate that. It's just too bad that you
CC'ed the NUT development mailinglist with my full (private) address
information. I'd rather keep

Never mind. The alarm messages are not bound to a specific outlet, but
are sent to all NSM clients that are connected. Which means

Rsync will not work with WD network drive!
Hi. I have an Western Digital network drive My Book World Edition 500GB.. I
have installed cwrsync and try to sync a folder on my local machine(Windows
Vista) to my my external network drive ( in the same LAN). The strange thing
is that rsync copies folders and files, but the files seems to be HIDDEN at
the destination. I have tried several versions of rsync and cygwin, and also

wine and snmp
I use Wine release 20011226, and I am ver happy every time I can run my
small windows-programs without booting into dos. However
I try to run management from ORiNOCO, orman.exe, under wine and run in to
some trouble. This program sends out an SNMP GET to retrieve info from the
agent, but under wine the OID in the package is sometimes wrong.

Nexenta: "load_mib2nut: using pw mib" package / config / or firewall problem?
G'day
I'm currently using NUT on Debian squeeze box in the same subnet with an IBM
3000 HV (branded Eaton 5125 with Web/SNMP card), now I wanted to get our
storage appliance running NexentaStor 3.1 set up to be using NUT too. Nexenta-
Stor is an OpenSolaris / illumos-based appliance OS currently using
NUT packages
from ubuntu hardy.
My question here is whether I'm running into a

snmp-ups hacking
Hi all!
I'm wondering if there's anyone doing any hacking on the snmp-ups
driver at the moment.
I've started looking at implementing 3phase-support, and this
uncovered some rather unpleasant stuff in the snmp-ups driver that I
really need to fix in order to get things sane.
Those of you that's allergic to SNMP might want to stop reading now,
this is rather icky ;)

SNMPv3 fails when more than one UPS is configured in ups.conf
Hi Charles,
Running upsdrvctl -D start on the host with all three configured to
SNMPv3 kicks out 56 different "unhandled ASN 0x81 from ..." lines on all
three but importantly they all start up and keep running.
I'm starting to suspect the startup is taking so long that systemd is
timing out and killing it. time -p reports real time of 133.27. I'm not
a fan of systemd but
