HP/Compaq Rackmount UPS Support? [SOLVED]
Hi Denny.
Nice, i have entered the HP R5500 XR to the drivers.list
in the Testing and Development tree.
Some info for you when you setup the nut. The shutdown_delay
of the driver is internal to the ups.
It calculate the time it can run after low-battery with the
load. So when it comes to OB LB it starts the shutdown_delay and power
off after it runs out.
This is the normal way, as you would

libupsclient.so
Hi,
Made a test build of the Testing branch. The problem is that upsmon
and upsc is not respecting the revision change of libupsclient.so.
It is now libupsclient.so.1, but i get this.
/usr/sbin/upsmon: error while loading shared libraries: libupsclient.so.0:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
and:
upsc: error while loading shared libraries: libupsclient.so.0: cannot

HP R3000 XR, warning or perhaps error
Hi,
So far I've gleaned heaps of useful info from the list and got mostly
running with NUT. There was a thread by Paul Battaglia and Kjell
Claesson about the R3000 which has helped me get so far, but now with
the patched driver I still have this on startup:
# /usr/local/ups/bin/upsdrvctl start
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.5
Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.11

1) Is this really true? I would have expected that this device would
be supported through bcmxcp (serial) and bcmxcp_usb (USB), like

Hi all,
Have a strange behaviour that I don't know how to debug.
This is when I use the Eaton PW5125 ups. I have it connected
And running in standby.
Starting up the drivers (pw3105 and pw5125) and they run.
Start up the upsd and can read info from both of them. The 3105 is
supplying the computer and the 5125 have a dummy load.
The 5125 is showing that it is off line. Now when I hit the on

Fwd: Question about Network UPS Tools bcmxcp driver
Hi,
Got this mail.
It looks like he has a ups with revision before K, and need another
startup. The 'PW_SET_REQ_ONLY_MODE' is not implemented,
so to make it work we have to follow the protocol and send
a 'PW_ID_BLOCK_REQ'. This in comsetup of bcmxcp_ser.c
Also the standard id block ends with 'Statistics Map', so we have to
Skip after reading the length of the 'Size

Youch. I hate it when that heppens. Hope it wasn't

Let me or Georg know if you want us to run any debug
code. Feels like a bcmxcp_usb driver bug to me since
the bcmcxp serial driver works fine and all my other
USB devices work fine (wifi adapter, memory

Hi Kjell,
a few notes:
- you should bump the DRV_VERSION upon every change
- you should track the drivers TODO list in a comment header (such as
"implement smart load segment detection" completed with your info,
...). That would help to bootstrap new contributors.
- you can also use the alioth trackers (features request, or task) to
give some external visibility on what remains to be

3phase progress?
Hi all!
I've been (very) out of the loop for a while, up to the point that I
had completely missed that the mailing list has moved. Oh well.
However, Kjell Claesson poked at me regarding the 3phase stuff, so I
found out that I had missed the recent events. In any case, it seems
that the situation is unchanged regarding 3phase support.
As some of you remember I made a suggestion for a
