FE700VA over USB? controlling UPSes over network?
Lately I replaced my 10+-year-old server with a nano-ITX-type one that has USB but not old serial ports.  I connected my FE700VA to DB25-to-9-to-USB cables, but haven't been able to set it up. Apparently my DB9-to-USB cable (Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port) has issues needing old software (setserial?) and some new software (fconfigure) being changed.  Has anyone managed

HP R3000 XR (BCMXCP) serial connection problem: e7!!! and e2!!!
UPS: HP R3000 XR with HP UPS Management Module What I Want: I just want the UPS to shut down the client called "tor" before the UPS power drains out, I'd prefer to use a direct serial cable instead of network, in case the network doesn't work. I'll manage the UPS trough the ethernet using the built-in HTTP webinterface in the HP UPS Management Module. I've created a

Sangoma S508 Rev-B
Hi list, I've browsed through the wiki pages and finally would like to get some answers from peple who perhaps had used such card. I have the sangoma s508 card. It has no CSU/DSU. It is an ISA card with DB9 and DB25 connectors (for RS232 and V34/X21/EIA interfaces). They claim it is a frame relay and syncronous ppp card. Can I use this card with asterisk in any way but without

APC Smart-UPS RT 5000
Hello all I've a brand-new APC box, model Smart-UPS RT 5000, which comes with a black cable RJ48 in one side (10P4C) and RS232-DB9 in the other. The cable reads "940-1525A" in the DB9 side. Which is the best setting (driver and options) to connect this UPS to my computer? It seems not to be recognized by a typical apcsmart driver setting. Many thanks Noel Torres er Envite

[EXTERNAL] thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
Re: "Does it work well with NUT?" Assuming it is the SU5000RT4UHV, the similar units I've tried seemed to work fine. For reference, the SU5000RT4UHV should be a 4004 USB protocol. ________________________________ From: David Zomaya Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 2020 5:21 PM To: Lee Damon; nut-upsuser Mailing List Subject: Re: [EXTERNAL] [Nut-upsuser] thoughts on tripp lite Smart

Asterisk, bicolor BLF and DEVSTATE
Hi, 1. You can now find several SIP harphones with bicolor BLFs (see Polycom, Cisco, ...). Is there a protocol which best describes how to use this bicolor BLD feature ? 2. I would like to map these BLFs to the following user activities : - user is logged off: no light - user is logged in: green light - phone is ringing: blinking light - user is on call: red light It seems that

[newbie] separating plot output from debug output
I'm attempting to refactor an R script that does a lot of plotting, among other things. Ideally I'd like to do something like setup # does pdf(...) for each part of input { plot(process(part)) } cleanup # does dev.off() but have problems: 1 I'm plotting to PDF, so everytime I dev.off() creates a new file, and I want everything in one file (as does my boss :-) 2 I'm

Hello Im from Denmark and i've just got my Digium TE405P. But i have some problems when i connect it to my E1 connection (ISDN30). TrippLite SmartPro UPS and nut-2.0.2
I have a TrippLite SmartPro UP (SMART3000RM2U) that shipped with the DB9 cable# 73-0866. nut doesn't recognize the UPS using the tripplite driver. I found this page: http://www.tripplite.com/support/download/PA12/help/device.htm The link lists the SmartPro series as using the cables 73-0724 or 73-0844 and the Internet 350/525 is listed as using a cable 73-0866. thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
We're looking at replacing some old APC SmartUPS 5000s with something that has USB so NUT can more easily talk with it (and yes, I've tried USB-RS232 adapters and every one I tried started kicking out errors within a few hours). One of the bids we have is for a "Tripp Lite UPS Smart Online 5000VA 4500W Rackmount 5kVA 200V/240V" as the potential replacement unit. I have no

Contact closure UPS?
Hello again! I'm yet again the guy from the blazer_usb problem and the ATCL one too. This time I have a third UPS (the last one In my collection) that i'm trying to make work instead of the ATCL one since there's no driver for it on windows. This UPS is another no-brand box (actually it is a "kozumi", but that's just a rebrand), and apparently it's much more basic

APCsmart serial port problem
I have a new APC Smart-UPS SUA2200RM2U. I've had no success with the manufacturer's PowerChute software and smart signaling, so I have decided to try NUT. The smartups driver can't make contact through the serial port. Since this is rack-mounted, it comes with a 940-1524 serial cable. As far as I can tell, this is supposed to work with smart signaling. Here's my ups.conf:

Has anyone connected to 7960 with console cable for setup?
I have a Cisco 7960 phone. I cannot seem to use the settings button to get into the phone to change the TFTP server. I've set up a DHCP Server, TFTP Server with the same address, and the phone requests the address of 0.0.0.0, the server offers the address of 192.168.2.2, but the phone seems not to take it. I have no action on the TFTP side. So, since I can't seem to server the phone

Utility to scan for unpassworded SSH privkeys?
I like to retain some semblance of optimism for humanity, and so I'm just going to hope that this assertion is false. I have to hope that there is at least a large minority of people who correctly use ssh-agent for the suppression of password prompting, and protect their private keys with passwords.? -------- Original message -------- From: Dan Kaminsky <dan at doxpara.com> Date:
