how to convert 7 cd iso images into one dvd image?
Hi; how to convert 7 cd iso images into one dvd image? I am unable to use bittorrent :-( Home ISP blocking bittorrent; company now blocks bittorrent. I want/need an old release (CentOS 5.2) to install as a VirtualBox guest. I suppose I could install from the cd iso images, but it is a pain to virtually eject and remount cd iso images during the install :-( So, is there a technique or an open

Centos5 NFS install from loop-back mounted DVD image fails
NFS install from a loop-back mounted DVD image fails for me when it actually tries to start the RPM install process. I come to the point where anaconda checks the package dependencies, then it tells that the install process will be started in some minutes and the last thing I see is a message similar to: Preparing transaction from install media. Then this message box disappears and the install

MD5Sum for CentOS-3.1 DVD iso?
Hello everyone. Thanks to everyone who made this project possible. This is my first post, although I have looked at the archives. I haven't found an answer to this in the archives, so I thought I would post it here. I've downloaded the DVD iso for CentOS-3.1 from BitTorrent, and I'm leaving my torrent open for another day or so to help out. I see there is an MD5Sum file for the

CentOS DVD ISO not downloadable
Hello list, I wanted to download the CentOS 3.1 DVD image, but since I'm not too familiar with BitTorrent I asked my brother to do so. He tried and told me the tracker was down. I don't know exactly what that means, but he can't download it. Regards, Florian Neukamm

5.2 x86_64 DVD
I've pulled this down with Firefox, wget, a bittorrent client and an ftp client using Windows as well as Linux hosts. Is something wrong with the distributed DVD image? It has failed an MD5 check every time I've pulled it down. I am enclosing scripts and config files to generate exact copy of CentOS 5.0 i386 installation DVD image, that is CentOS-5.0-i386-bin-DVD.iso if you have CD images for i386. If there is interest I can post the same for x86_64. Please follow README files for instructions. All the scripts are GPL. Kernel panic from install CD
I have a bunch of DecTOPs. Use the AMD Geode chip. Yesterday I upgraded one of them, and got the dreaded Kernel panic. Something about powernowk8. I could boot up with the old kernel, though. I know I have to put in a bug report on this, will do shortly, but first wanted to try a fresh install on another DecTOP. At the prompt, I specified: linux askmethod After it loaded the kernel, it

Originate and ForkCDR()
Hi, I'm tryng to place a call through Asterisk Manager Originate Action. Since I want separate CDR for each of the two legs of the call, I'm forking CDR with ForkCDR as the first Channel has picked up. The problem is that, while the first CDR is fine, in the second one the "answer" field is always empty, "billsec" field is 0 and "disposition" field is

Install from a USB CDrom?
OK, this is getting ridiculous. A relatively new HP NC4010 (1 year old). A maybe not the newest Storix USB CD/R-DVD drive. Of course the HP has no problem booting up off the CDrom. But then I get that blasted dialog of where are my install. So I go through the list and find a USB storage driver. It doesn't help. I do have a USB 2.5" drive case that I can put a drive in with the

Jigdoes of CentOS 4.4 and 5.0 i386/x86_64 CD/DVD available.
I've gone through the trouble (after some 10 rounds I finally have something I'm happy with) and generated jigdo/template files for CentOS 5.0 iso's (CD/DVD i386/x86_64) (and CentOS 4.4 while I was at it: CD/DVD/ServerCD SRPMS/i386/x86_64). (and I started on this before the thread about creating the DVD's from the CD's started ;-) ) They are available at:

Anaconda allows x86_64 CD/DVD to be used to install i386 system
As subject says. I just noticed that Anaconda allows x86_64 CD/DVD to be used to install i386 system (using network installation, of course). This is basically broken. For example, yum will believe that it is installed on x86_64, not on i386. So when you do for example yum update, it will try to install x86_64 packages on i386 system. Which isn't going to fly, since installed

Re: CentOS 3.4 Single CD "Server" version
Hey, Lance mentioned yum group install. This yum group capability makes the "server" CD's more versatile than the name implies -- you only need a broadband connection to get any kind of CentOS install you want. Start with a minimal install off the CD, and then use the yum group install to conveniently get the same install you could get off the 3 CD set (only more up to date).

Anyone Having Any Luck Downloaing the DVD ISO?
I've been trying for 2 weeks to download the dvd iso torrent... Shows a ton of seeders, few leechers, but very poor performance.. (I'm correctly setup for torrents and get fast downloads normally) Only like 4% downloaded and crawling. I've tried the trackers from every one of the mirror sites. I can't use the net install because the systems I am installing are on a closed network.
