First off, there is no access into the bios on this unit It will boot from the hard drive or a USB CD. I have a USB DVD/CDRW. The system will boot from it. But if I just press enter to install off the CD, I end up at the askmethod menu. I press the local CD option and am told, no CD. Help?

As subject says. I just noticed that Anaconda allows x86_64 CD/DVD to be used to install i386 system (using network installation, of course). This is basically broken. For example, yum will believe that it is installed on x86_64, not on i386. So when you do for example yum update, it will try to install x86_64 packages on i386 system. Hey, Lance mentioned yum group install. This yum group capability makes the "server" CD's more versatile than the name implies -- you only need a broadband connection to get any kind of CentOS install you want. Start with a minimal install off the CD, and then use the yum group install to conveniently get the same install you could get off the 3 CD set (only more up to date).

Hi I used to have a script that would take a dir of cd iso's and then stick them together and create a DVD iso. I seem to remember downloading it from a link posted in here. I have searched but cant find it, i dont suppose anyone knows of such a thing? thanks

I've been trying for 2 weeks to download the dvd iso torrent... Shows a ton of seeders, few leechers, but very poor performance.. (I'm correctly setup for torrents and get fast downloads normally) Only like 4% downloaded and crawling. I've tried the trackers from every one of the mirror sites.
