Some issues with UPS Forza SL-1001
Hi to everybody. Some days ago, I bought an UPS by Forza Power Technologies,
model SL-1001. This Forza SL-1001 is line-interactive, has 14,4 A/h charge
and is rated at 1000VA. Before, I had a TrippLite Omni 500 (or something
like that), a simple contact-closure UPS, and I used nut with the simple
genericupsdriver, so I'm new with this type of UPSs.
NUT doesn't list Forza as a

nut with Belkin "Active Battery Backup" UPS (BU30 series)
Hi,
I bought a Belkin Active Battery Backup UPS
(http://www.belkin.com/uk/activebattery/) yesterday with a USB port and
hoped it would work with nut.
The device will show up in /proc/bus/usb/devices as a Cypress
Semiconductor USB to Serial. It creates /dev/hiddev0 (and this
disappears when the UPS is unplugged). I've tried using belkin,
belkinunv, usbhid-ups and megatec_usb. I've tried

Maruson power net 1500 support?
I recently took over maintenance of a linux computer which is drawing
power from a "Maruson Power Net 1500" UPS. However, there is currently
no monitoring or control of the UPS by this (or any other) computer.
Can nut control this device? There are serial, usb, and EPO connectors
on the back of the unit. (There may be a manual but I'm going to have
to hunt for it.)
Thanks,
David

Upsonic PrOffice 650 usb/serial
Hi,
I recently installed a Upsonic PrOffice 650 UPS, which is a cheap model[1]
available in Australia. It has a serial and USB port, and comes with a
note saying WinPower software can be downloaded from [2]. Investigation of
the software shows it to be Java with native libraries for serial and USB.
Disassembling various classes reveals it talks at 2400 baud, and has a
protocol similar to

Nut with megatec_usb
Hi,
I'm new in the list and I'm having a little bit trouble to put the
megatec_usb to work.
I've been using NUT for a while with the apc and megatec driver (serial),
with no problem.
The server is a Ubuntu 8.04.2 with NUT version 2.2.1-2.1ubuntu7.2, the
default package version in this ubuntu release.
I've configured the ups.conf as follows:
[sms]
driver = megatec_usb

Belkin F6H375 not seen by nut 2.2.1
I recently bought a Belkin F6H375 UPS. It connects to the computer via USB.
Searching the Internet led me to believe that the megatec_usb driver in nut
supports this UPS, however I've been unable to get it to work.
I have this in ups.conf:
[belkinusb]
driver = megatec_usb
port = auto
desc = "Belkin USB"
Here's what happens when I try to use it:

Is this really needed/desirable? I think this kind of information needs
to be put in the AUTHORS document. There are many more people on this
list that put a lot of effort in NUT, without claiming credit

energizerups and bestups -> megatec?
Hi!
I don't know how I missed it before, but "bestups" seems to implement
mostly the same protocol as megatec. Is anybody out there using this
driver willing to try "megatec" to see if it works?
AFAIK, the only difference seems to be the command that gets the UPS
identification data ("I" on "megatec", "ID" on "bestups"), but

Belkin F6C1100-UNV
Hi,
it'd be great if you could update the documentation on the website
that some models of the Belkin -UNV series will only work with the
megatec(_usb) drivers. I wasted a lot of time on trying to get it to
work with the wrong drivers, and would like to spare others the pain
:-).
Thanks,
~David
P.S. Some forum post said that the stable megatec drivers don't work
100% with the belkin UPS,

Mustek PowerMust 848
Hi,
I'm not the maintainter for the "megatec_usb" driver (in fact, I'm no
longer maintainer for the base "megatec" either), so I don't really
know the status for that particular UPS.
I'm forwarding this to the NUT mailing-list though.

Good day to all.
In one of the offices I'm administering there are about 15 UPS marked with the
brand "Ippon BackPro". This brand is widely popular in Russian Federation, while
by itself is a 'Made in PRC' megatec clone. Depending on the model this UPSes
have got either one standard serial RS-232C interface (cheaper models like
