devd question
I'm trying to make devd run an stty command whenever a USB serial device is attached. Unfortunately, $device-name is ucom[0-9] and the device names are /dev/cuaU[0-9] - how do I get the correct name in the device action? I haven't found a way to extract the number by itself, so I'm stuck with specifying a separate rule for each number, like so: attach 100 { device-name

USB comms dropout not detected
Hi, I have an MGE Ellipse 1000 connected to a FreeBSD 7.1 system and it works well except that if I yank the cable it doesn't detect a problem.. It seems to quite merrily read the old data (upsc reports the same values). There is nothing logged by NUT to indicate comms is lost (usbhid-ups is still running). In the attached log I yanked the able at the 28 second mark and plugged it back

I've tried using the usbhid-ups<http://networkupstools.org/docs/man/usbhid-ups.html> driver but everytime I try to start up nut, I get this: # upsdrvctl start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.7.4 Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.41 (2.7.4)

Resetting replace battery status on Pulsar 1500
Hi, I have a FreeBSD 9.2 system with NUT 2.6.5 (installed via the ports tree) with an MGE Pulsar 1500 connected. A while ago it complained it needed the battery replaced and it was finally replaced last week, however I can't find out how to reset the flag in NUT. I've looked in upsc, upsrw and upscmd but none seem to have a suitable option. The UPS is connected via RS232 and upsc output
