Same output in NUT as from APC tools?
Hello,
Since I have now nearly all stuff running on my LH7A404 and now I am
working on my DS80C411, I like to know, whether NUT show the APC UPS
stats like the APC tools.
Currently I do not know, HOW NUT triber the USB-Poert to get out the
infos of the UPS. In theory I do send out only arround 5-60 lines of
data which then NUT or any other programs must parse or something

Prefered Method for UPS?
Hello,
since I had delayed the programming of the UPS Device part, now it is
time to continue...
My Device is "24 V DC modular ATX PSU" which replace the standard ATX
Power Supply in PCs and use 15-43 V Input Voltage. The microcontroller
is a TI LM3S5T36 Cortex M3 and I get the "UPS" infos using up to 4 Maxim
DS1780 and some I?C current sensors. The ATX PSU has 4

USBHID-PDU datagram
Hello *,
I have my "24V DC modular ATX PSU" running yet and it collect already
the data form the DS1780 and MAX1036/8. The Microcontroller is a Maxim
Integrated Device DS89C450 and the USB-Controller a MAX3420E which works
over SPI Bit-Banging.
OK, this is now working and enumeration is done... ;-)
Now since the PSU is a "Function" I was looking into the Linux

Adding PDU support to NUT
I've recently been working a bit on adding PDU
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_distribution_unit) support in NUT.
Some of you might have seen the Powerman thread, which also deals with
adding more PDUs support:
http://powerman.sourceforge.net/supported.html
The result is that we now have support for 2 Eaton | Powerware ePDUs
(Managed and Monitored iirc, check http://www.epdu.com).

# IP601's with POE per Catalyst 3560G-48PS
Hello people,
I am having difficulties figuring out the POE power draw in
watts from a Polycom IP601. I want to know how many
IP601's can be powered from the Cisco Catalyst 3560G-48PS.
The IP601 wallwart has: Input 120VAC 60hz 19W, Output 24VDC
500mA. I assume the output is appropriate value to figure
out how many phones can be powered.
The Cisco 3560 datasheet says "the 48-port PoE

[OT]: Require suggestions - GSM Gateway <-> Asterisk
Hello,
I am looking for ideas and suggestions. I want to use a 16 port GSM gateway as a trunk for outbound/inbound. I will also have two PSTN phone lines coming into the Asterisk server. All calls will go to an IVR on the Asterisk PBX. Outbound from extensions will route to GSM-GW when the dialed number matches a pattern set in the GSM-GW trunk. And accordingly for the PSTN trunks. But that's

Shutting down an ATX machine from Power Button
Can someone please tell me how to configure Centos/Linux so it shuts
down properly by pressing the Power button on the ATX cabinet, just as
if someone had given a shutdown -h now command.
With regards.

mini atx and asterisk (EPIA and the like)
Hi, haven't found anything in google's, i wonder if there is a
comparative page of what to expect from running * on motherboards like
the EPIA and similar ones.
Since i have not used *ever* such kind of mini atx form factor boards,
I have no clue about their performance.

anchor names from headers (Setext and atx)?
It would be useful if defining headers (either Setext and atx style), if
Markdown would also generate corresponding anchors:
## This is an H2 ##
would create:
<a name="This is an H2"/>
<h2>This is an H2</h2>
Or something like that.
Or is that available some different way?
Thanks,

Sorry for posting again, but because the subject.Hi All,
I have 5 servers each:

I installed XCP 0.5 on each and all are joining a resource pool. Then I installed 2 Centos 5.5 VM on each XCP host and I used the following command to specify the number of vCPUs for each VM:

Hi Guys,

Now I have tried to use FreePBX but it require MySQL which I can not
install du to a conflict with PostgreSQL.
Does someone know, how to configure FreePBX to use PostgreSQL?
Or does someone know another Asterisk Web-Frontend, without Database?
It is realy not funny, to force users to install this monster on an ARM
Microcontroller.

Concept questions: Extra battery packs & additional UPSes...
* Is there a way to configure NUT so that it recognizes the huge
additional battery pack that has been attached to the 2200XL? The
51minutes runtime is a number consistent with the load we have placed on
a stock standalone 2200XL. With the extra large battery pack we've
added, the runtime should be more than 2.5 hours.

Liebert GXT2 NUT driver
Hi guys,
I found the troblue and fix it!
I attached the patch.
The trouble was in the command reply buffer use.
You compute the value that value = reply[6]*256+reply[5] <- it's wrong
The right solution: value = reply[5] * 256 + reply[6];
And other bug,
battery.runtime compute, you divide this value 60 <- it's wrong
right value: divide 1.0

OT: hardware, odd PSU issue
We have an HP blade enclosure for SL230s Gen 8. Went to replace the four
PSUs in it, 1500W. Got them from one vendor, "refurbished"... and *none*
worked. Returned them, and got them from another vendor, and *none*
worked.
Something odd here. For one, the LED doesn't light up when I'm holding the
PSU and plug it in. Then there's something I just noticed late yesterday:

UPS issues with PFC PSU
Just noticed that our new server has a newer 80+ efficiency 865W PSU
with PFC. So apparenty our existing 1500VA (865W) APC Back-UPS is not
safe to use anymore. We apparently need a pure sine wave UPS.
http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8883
I found an affordable 1500VA UPS by CyberPower, model CP1500PFCLCD,
which has a pure sine wave output.
Wondering if anyone has experience with
