[LLVMdev] Can libc++ build for arm cross compiler?
Hi cschen,
Here are the test scripts which I written when I was developing ARM
exception handling support:
https://github.com/loganchien/libcxx-scripts
The script should work on Debian wheezy (cross-compiling from amd64 to
armhf.)
In general, here are the necessary steps:
1. Get a working arm-linux-gnueabihf gcc/g++ toolchain (for the headers and
libraries)
2. Setup the include search path

Yeah, it would help to know more specifics about where you're getting stuck.

[LLVMdev] Can libc++ build for arm cross compiler?
Hi cschen,
It seems that libunwind (the one included in libcxxabi) is mandatory at the
moment. Use the second build command instead:
$ CROSS_COMPILING=arm ENABLE_LIBUNWIND=1 ./scripts/compile-all.sh

Building llvm with clang and lld on arm and the llvm arm backend relocation on position independent code
Hi,
I am trying to build a completely GNU free linux toolchain for the raspberry pi.
I successfully managed to compile llvm and clang for armv7 hard float ( both as a cross compiler and as a native compiler ) together with the following:
Llvm with clang and lld
Clang builtins
Musl libc
libc++, libc++abi, libunwind
All works well with the only thing to notice being the need to use -fPIC in

Bootstrapping clang/LLVM with ELLCC
ELLCC is a compilation tool chain based on clang/LLVM, libc++ and the
musl standard C library for Linux. Recently I was asked if ELLCC
pre-built binaries could be used to build clang/LLVM TOT. It turns out
that it can with some simple patches. This is a simple way to bootstrap
clang/LLVM on an arbitrary Linux system that either doesn't have GCC or
has a version of GCC that is too old to

[LLVMdev] libc++.so in default binary distribution.
Hi to all,
when I download the clang/llvm officila binaries, I found the libc++
headers under lib directory,
but I didn't found libc++.so.
Why you ship libc++ headers but no shared library?
Thanks!

The clang for centos6 are need GLIBC_2.14, but we only have GLIB 2.12 by default.
Well, is that possible to include libstdc++4.7 into llvm?

The clang for centos6 are need GLIBC_2.14, but we only have GLIB 2.12 by default.
It is possible to statically link against libstdc++, yes. I don't quite
know all the pieces to the recipe in order to get that to work. It would
require changes to the release script in order to get those configuration
changes all the way through the third phase build.
I don't believe any other tarball release does this, so it would at least
be an unconventional release.

So CentOS before 6.7 is not an option after all?
Is that possible to use clang on CentOS 6.6 and before?

Not with these binaries, unless you can update your libc/libstdc++. In the
general sense -- yes, it's possible if you build from source. There's a

svn => git commit access
I'm having trouble pushing commits since the transition from svn => git. I
talked to Chris Lattner and got my github user (github.com/jroelofs) added
to the group, but that doesn't seem to be enough.
Here are some logs from trying a test commit. Can anyone spot what's wrong?

[LLVMdev] lld build
Hi,
Currently, I can build lld/llvm on Fedora 17 but fail to build it on iMac. The commands I use as follows. Anyone can help me? Or is there the lld mail list I can post the question?
Linux/Fedora can be built by the following command
cmake -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=clang++ -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=clang -DCMAKE_CXX_FLAGS=-std=c++11 -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug -G "Unix Makefiles" ../src/
make

[LLVMdev] Is the llvm ARM support big endian elf/obj output?
The llvm ARM backend is little endian elf output as my examination as below. Is it support bid endian by other llc options as below?
llc -filetype=obj -march=arm // little endian
llc -filetype=obj -march=? or -otheroption=? // to output big endian
