[LLVMdev] Help!!!!Help!!!! " LLVM ERROR: Cannot select: 0x9fc9680: i32 = fp32_to_fp16 0x9fc0750 [ID=16] " problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Kevin!!!    If I use fptrunc and bitcast realise NEON vcvtt ( I can sure, "fptrunc  double %tmp to float" is right, but "fptrunc float %tmp to half" is wrong). My target platform is MIPS.  The command as following: NEON:            vcvtt.f16.f32 s2, s0 llvm Code: %Vt_2 = load float* %VFP_s0, align 4 %Vt3_1 = fptrunc float %Vt_2 to half %Vt4_1 = bitcast half

Hi Daniel,    Thank you your replying.     Yes, the problem is about MIPS backend. You give me this message "There is limited support for the <8 x f16> type when MSA (MIPS SIMD Architecture) is enabled but even then scalar half-precision is not currently supported."  Could you give me some official link or some evidence? Thank you very much. Robin yalong at multicorewareinc.com

Hi Andrea    Thank you your replying.    I do like your letter. Add following to line to MipsISelLowering.cpp. As your words,   @llvm.convert.to.fp16  can compile successfully. However, the runtime is not right. +  setOperationAction(ISD::FP16_TO_FP32, MVT::f32, Expand);+  setOperationAction(ISD::FP32_TO_FP16, MVT::i32, Expand); Robin yalong at multicorewareinc.com  From: Andrea Di

[LLVMdev] float16/half float support situation? (and a problem)
OpenCL defines half data type, and it seems clang accepts this and generates code for it. The backend support for operations with fp16 seems to be missing and it works (or should work?) by converting these to fp32 for the actual calculations? But I'm having problems with this. first I just tried to use fp16 data type, without any support in backend. This was expected to fail. I got

[LLVMdev] __fp16 suport in llvm back-end
Hi, all: I am trying to test half float point support in llvm, I found clang can generate bitcode for __fp16, while llc can't generate code for it, the error message is like this LLVM ERROR: Cannot select: 0x26a68e0: i16 = fp32_to_fp16 0x26a67d8 [ORD=2] [ID=4] 0x26a67d8: f32,ch = CopyFromReg 0x2693060, 0x26a66d0 [ORD=2] [ID=3] 0x26a66d0: f32 = Register %vreg1 [ID=1] In function: test

zpool kernel panics.
Hi Folks, I''ve got a 3.9 Tb zpool, and it is casing kernel panics on my Solaris 10 280r (SPARC) server. The message I get on panic is this: panic[cpu1]/thread=2a100a95cc0: zfs: freeing free segment (offset=423713792 size=1024) This seems to come about when the zpool is being used or being scrubbed - about twice a day at the moment. After the reboot, the scrub seems to have
