[LLVMdev] Code generation support in llvm for windows phone
I am talking about Windows Mobile 8 and 8.1 and not CE.
Not sure though that the Windows 8 (ARM NT) is similar to Windows Mobile 8 platform.
I used the following command to generate the obj file
Llc.exe -mtriple=thumbv7-windows -filetype=obj <some_name>.bc
The object file generated in the above object doesn't get linked when I try to link it with the windows mobile library as it

[LLVMdev] Code generation support in llvm for windows phone
Hi Saleem,
I have a similar situation - I'd appreciate your inputs on it. I noticed
that the obj file generated using llvm does not contain "thumb"
instructions. I suspect that is what is causing runtime crash for me.
Here's what I've tried -
Start with a.c (on my linux machine where I have llvm/clang built as of
yesterday)
int add(int i, int j) {int k

[LLVMdev] Code generation support in llvm for windows phone
Thank you so much Saleem,
The target is Windows phone 8.1 (ARM). I'll update the crash details
tomorrow. One big problem is that I have to use a physical windows phone
for execution.
I wonder if it is possible to execute such "exes" using qemu.
Regards,
Kashyap

Thanks a lot Saleem,
The issue is fixed and a simple app works fine now.

[LLVMdev] Support for Windows Phone 8.1
Hi Saleem,
Though a simple app works great I am facing few issues trying to link a slightly complex object file, generated via LLVM, with some libs generated via Visual Studio -
1. Seems IMAGE_SCN_MEM_16BIT is only written for the the first header in the COFF file, thus functions in other headers (if you are using function sections) don’t work. I was able to workaround this by forcing this entry

[LLVMdev] lit test suite on Windows always hangs.
I'm using Windows 8.1, and every time I run check-clang, I eventually end
up with a bunch of hung processes. Generally this is an instance of
clang.exe, a bunch of instances of FileCheck.exe, and occasionally an
llc.exe and an opt.exe.
Inside, the processes are all hung inside of calls to WriteFile()
attempting to write to stdout.
I notice some of the tests fail with output indicating that

[LLVMdev] Unifying Windows Target Triples
Hi,
After a discussion with David, Id like to propose a rework of the Windows target triples. The current set of Windows triples are somewhat less uniform than their Linux counterparts. With multiple ABIs and environments on Windows, they are also slightly awkward. Obviously, certain ones might be nice to keep around for compatibility (e.g. the mingw triple).
Just to ensure that everyone has

[LLVMdev] LTO regression test Bug 17623
Hello,
I have a fix for Bug17623 (http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=17623) but I am not sure how best to install a regression test. The commands I use to run the test are (approximately)
$LLVM/clang -flto -O2 -o BUG.o -c BUG.c
$LLVM/llvm-lto -exported-symbol=main -o lto.o BUG.o
$LLVM/clang -o bug lto.o
./bug
Where the failing behavior is to seg fault and corrected behavior is to run to

[LLVMdev] LNT install
Hi David,
That's weird, I have setup LNT in multiple different distros and have
never seen this. Looks like no one ever tested on the system you're
running. Can you share a bit more of your environment?
Also, you can check the setup.py to see if it does any stripping of
package names, which could go wrong in the wrong environment.
cheers,

[LLVMdev] perf tool support in MCJIT
I believe the perf tool cannot profile/analyze the JITed code in MCJIT
model.
Can you please confirm this ? I was working on a patch to fix this.
Another question, is the there any support to map the llvm IR with x86
generated assembly ? so its easier to analyze the code generator.

Replace brick of a dead node
Hi!
Seeking pardon from the experts, but I have a basic usage question that I could not find a straightforward answer to.
I have a two node cluster, with two bricks replicated, one on each node.
Lets say one of the node dies and is unreachable.
I want to be able to spin a new node and replace the dead node's brick to a location on the new node.
The command 'gluster volume

Upgrading from Rails 1.3.x to 2.3.2 - text_field_with_auto_complete not working
Folks,
I am trying to upgrade code base from 1.3.x to 2.3.2 and not
surprisingly, lot of things are broken.
''text_field_with_auto_complete'' is not working for me - it gives the
following error:
ActionView::TemplateError (undefined method
`text_field_with_auto_complete'' for #<ActionView::Base:

I already have installed auto_complete -
