Sr. SysAdmin position availble at Juniper Networks, Sunnyvale
NOTE: The position is within the IT organization at Juniper, of which
I am not a part. I do not have first-hand knowledge of the working
conditions, and cannot speak to that with authority. I would, however,
encourage anyone intending to express interest to ask about anything
that might be a concern -- preferably during the interview process.
My bias would be to favor someone who wishes to

SSH lib for Win32...?
Hi there!
I'm researching a project for my company that would involve a proprietary
SSH tunnel client running on Win32. I was wondering if OpenSSH had a
portable library component that I could leverage to manage the connection
and tunneling functionality without any interface components...?
Thanks in advance for any help or direction you can provide!

Multiple UNIX hosts on same LAN?
I apologize if this is a newbie question, but that is what I am. I
did check the archives before sending this.
Can SMBD run on multiple Unix hosts at the same time? While it is
fine on one, some functionality is missing with only one host.
1) you don't get all your UNIX machines listed from Network
Neighborhood
2) getting to /tmp or /etc on various UNIX hosts is not possible.
Is this

change the height or scale of the y axis
Hallo, All,
I have a question about changing the height or scale of the y axis. When I
use following two R codes, I can get two plots. Please look at the y axes,
the number of indices (x1, x2, ?) on the y axis in the first plot is smaller
than that in the second plot, and hence the space between any two indices in
the first plot is wider than that in the second plot. As the number of
indices

barplot fill patterns
Dear R-helpers,
I will like to know if there is a way to generate a stacked column
graph using both patterns and colors to fill the bars. I have many
categories for the number of color available in R, so I will like R to
start with solid colors and then use patterns an colors. I have been
using barplot and some code that I found in the archives, but I am
still having bars with the

Query about creating time sequences
Hi All,
I have a query about time based sequences. I know such questions have been
asked a lot on forums, but I couldnt find the exact thing that I was
looking for.
I want to create a time-based sequence which will mimic the trading window
AND would span multiple days. Something like below:
"2011-01-03 09:15:00 IST"
"2011-01-03 09:15:01 IST"

Data Mining in Europe, please advise
Our CEO, Dr. Dan Steinberg, is planning to visit Europe in May. He
would like the opportunity to introduce statisticians (and statistically
minded people) to data mining, data mining applications and to forefront
data mining tools. Our algorithms are probably familiar to many
statisticians (CART, MARS, MART, TreeNet and RandomForests), although it
isn't necessary to be a statistician to

puppet cert first run doesn't encrypt ca private key but puppet ca does?
Can anyone validate this? I am attempting to run the puppet cert/ca
standlone commands.
I am running form an unchanged master branch and if I run (simplified
for the example):
puppet cert generate host
the resulting ca_key.pem is not encrypted.
If I run :
puppet ca generate host
the resulting ca_key.pem is encrypted.
In both cases the ca.pass file is created but the code path through
cert does

[LLVMdev] 16 bit to 32 bit conversion
It seems that LLVM is converting all the 16 bit ints into 32 bit ints.
Is there a way I can tell LLVM that 16 bit ints are valid and legal and
not to do any conversions on them?
Thanks,

[LLVMdev] Load with null memory operand?
How do I match against this instruction?
01ABDA58: i64,ch = load 01ABD948, 01ABD8C0, 01AB1350 <null:0>
This is the first time I've seen NULL in the memory operand location.
Any idea on how this could be mapped with tablegen correctly?
Thanks,
