[LLVMdev] loop carried dependence analysis?
Hi all, Unfortunately, all my Hunks are failed when I apply : patch -p1 < da.patch command. The problem might be due to the fact that da.patch file was created against revision 167549, but I am on revision 167719 (I believe the most recent one). I am not sure if this cause the problem ? But Preston may I ask you to generate the patch file against revison 167719 ? Thanks in advance. On

[LLVMdev] how to get path profile information ?
Dear all, I have already checked some related posted messages, such as: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2008-January/012315.html and http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2008-February/012466.html After getting rid of some error messages, I was able to run the following commands: 1) opt -insert-path-profiling matmul.bc -o matmul.pp.bc 2) lli -load

[LLVMdev] how to get path profile information ?
What version of LLVM are you using? The profiling framework is completely messed up in the newer versions of LLVM.. I used to work with profiling in 2.5 some time ago, and it seemed to work fine.. If you really need this to work quickly, you might want to just get the old version and get on with it.. The newer versions of LLVM need to get the profiling part fixed soon..It is messing up my work as

Embedding llvm as a git submodule in Project
Hi Timo: You need to find LLVMConfig.cmake in the binary or install directory tree, not the source tree. Although I don't embed clang/llvm, my config might help you figure it -- clang/llvm installed under (could have used build directory) ~/usr : $ cd /Users/dhinton/projects/cover/build/ && rm -rf * && CC=~/usr/bin/clang CXX=~/usr/bin/clang++ LLVM_DIR=~/usr/lib/cmake/llvm

[LLVMdev] how to compile my LLVM project with CMake (on Windows)?
hi, i already successfully compiled & installled LLVM 3.1 on Windows (with CMake & Visual Studio 2008). next, i am trying to understand how to create a standalone LLVM project, and compile that on Windows (also using CMake & Visual Studio 2008). to start, i picked up the "examples\BrainF" project, renamed it to "examples\BrainF2" (and i still put BrainF2 under the

Embedding llvm as a git submodule in Project
Sorry my example wasn't helpful. I did take a quick look at rust -- though I didn't download or try to build it -- and they seem to allow you to use an installed or prebuilt version in addition to building it in-tree. However, even when they build it in-tree, they build the whole thing -- see mk/llvm.mk. Good luck... On Mon, Oct 10, 2016 at 1:33 AM, Timo Janssen via llvm-dev <

Embedding llvm as a git submodule in Project
Hi all. I want to use llvm in my project and I want to make llvm a git submodule in my project. http://llvm.org/docs/CMake.html#embedding-llvm-in-your-project At this in the documentation it claims to describe how to embed llvm into a project. I tried it that way but it doesn't work, because there isn't any findLLVM.cmake in the llvm/cmake/modules directory anymore (i don't

[LLVMdev] [Pass] How to gather data dependencies
Hello, I'm currently trying to develop new LLVM Pass that will generate simple data dependencies graph. For now I'm trying to get familiar with DependenceAnalysis. My general idea is to traverse each function (runOnFunction) top to bottom Instruction by Instruction, using DA.depends( I, I2, ...) on every Instructions combination in function to check if they are dependent on any
