[LLVMdev] Running the programs in the LLVM test suite with a pass and without it.
Hi guys,
I have a pass called "MyPass". And I can run this pass in the LLVM test
suite programs and produce a report with the statistics of the execution of
this pass. Now, I would like to run the programs in LLVM test suite and
generate a report comparing the results obtained without using the pass with
the results obtained using the pass. Is there any way to do this?
Thank you,

[LLVMdev] Update PTX section in CodeGenerator.html
Hi Justin,
I believe the PTX section in the link below need some love,
updating "lib/Target/PTX" to "lib/Target/NVPTX" for example.
Would you like to take a look?

Then you might need to past your main.c. Besides, is LLVMobfuscationTest.so
your own pass? What does it do?

[LLVMdev] Fail to compile LLVM on Gentoo Linux
Hi all,
I think it's Gentoo's bug, but I want to know if anyone has the same
issue here. I am compiling LLVM trunk on Gentoo (gcc 4.5.2), and I get
error message below,

[LLVMdev] RE : RE : RE : Detect if a basicblock is part of a loop
It try to put all basicblock in a switch in a loop, like that for example:
int main() {
if(something)
somethingelse:
else
another;
}
become:
int main() {
while(true) {
switch(var) {
case 0:
if(something)
var+=1;
else:
var+=2;
break;

[LLVMdev] RE : RE : Detect if a basicblock is part of a loop
This is my main.c (just a crappy test file):
#include <stdlib.h>
void foo() {
foo();
}
int main(int argc,char** argv) {
int a = 1;
int b = 3;
int c = a+b;
int k;
for(k=0;k<10;++k) { // The loop I'm trying to detect
int sdf = 123123;
c++;
}
if(c - atoi(argv[1])

How about sending a patch which remove those obsolete code, and let
others give comment?

[LLVMdev] POSIX thread library support
Hello all,
I caught a problem related to pthread library. I built llvm and llvm-gcc
then compiling a multithreaded benchmark written in POSIX thread library.
The command "llvm-gcc -o bench bench.c -lpthread" ran well while "llvm-gcc
-c bench; llvm-ld -o bench bench.o -lpthread" crashed. It told that
"llvm-ld: error: Cannot find library 'pthread'".
I could

What's your profiling procedure? I can only guess llvm-prof does not
recognize the profiling data.

I was trying to run an already build LLVM-pass ( the Hello world ) on Visual

[LLVMdev] How to write a regression test case?

I believe it means this test case addresses bug report (pr, problem
report) 1028 [1]. In other words, this test case guarantee that pr1028
will not back again. If so, it will fail.

How can I dynamically change the code generation optimization level (e.g.,
None) of a JIT in other to recompile a function with a new optimization

Thank you.
