[LLVMdev] Is there any way to print assembly code of a function compiled by ExecutionEngine?
Hello!
I'm using LLVM's JIT in my project. Is there any way to view assembly
code of functions it generates without disassembling them from the
memory?

JIT compiler - showing generated machine code
When using LLVM as a JIT compiler, you can use module.dump() to show the
generated intermediate code, which is good.
Is there similarly a programmatic way to show the generated x64 machine
code in assembly format?

From the source code I'm reading, you might have to creat another JIT with
different opt level.

That's correct. I have no idea what difference doing one or the other (or both) makes.

The problem with this approach is that global mappings have to be
recreated in the new JIT. Can this be somehow avoided?

[PATCH] Add tune2fs support to libguestfs.
At the moment OpenStack uses kpartx and nbd to resize filesystems and
inject files to guests. I sincerely hope they don't allow untrusted
users to upload guest images / AMIs :-(
To fix this I'm looking into adding libguestfs support as an optional
backend in OpenStack.
The only missing feature in libguestfs is the ability to call tune2fs
on a filesystem. This patch series adds tune2fs

Renamed, see the attachment.
But note that one needs to add his pass at two extension points: at O0
and wherever else he wanted to add it.
Won't such a name confuse the user?
E.g. he may think that just adding a pass as "EP_AlwaysEnabled" should
be enough to have it at any optimization

Andy and I briefly discussed this the other day, we have not yet got
chance to list a detailed pass order
for the pre- and post- IPO scalar optimizations.
This is wish-list in our mind:
pre-IPO: based on the ordering he propose, get rid of the inlining (or
just inline tiny func), get rid of
all loop xforms...
post-IPO: get rid of inlining, or maybe we still need it, only
