[LLVMdev] Build problems with llvm-gcc
Hi there
I'm new to LLVM & am trying to build llvm-gcc.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.0.4. on an AMD64 processor.
I've had no problems with building the LLVM suite itself, but during
llvm-gcc compilation I am presented with the following error message - does
anybody happen to know if there is any remedy?

Do you have any /lib64/libc.so* or /usr/lib64/libc.so* ?
Are you still setting LIBRARY_PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH, as mentioned in:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/binutils/+bug/738098
?
Thanks,
Jay.

[LLVMdev] amd64, FreeBSD and shared libraries
Hello,
I am trying to build llvm-gcc 4.2 w/ llvm 2.2 on FreeBSD/amd64 and have
found that it doesn't seem to want to build shared libraries. I've found
numerous notes that I should try --disable-shared, because the linker
ends up erroring out with a linker error when building libgcc_s.so.
Subsequently, the same error is produced when it attempts to build
libstdc++.so. If you do happen to

[LLVMdev] ld crashes with invalid pointer on Ubuntu 11.04 x86 when linking libgcc_s.so
This shouldn't be considered our bug (should it?). I'm going to
report it to Ubuntu.
I will restart my build, but does anyone else see this on Ubuntu
11.04? Note that I have a 32-bit machine with 2 GB of RAM and no
swap.

[LLVMdev] building llvm-gcc on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal
Duncan,
Can you try another experiment please? I get:
$ ls -l `which ld`
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 2011-05-06 19:26 /usr/bin/ld -> ld.gold
$ ld.gold -lc
ld.gold: error: cannot find -lc
$ ld.bfd -lc
ld.bfd: warning: cannot find entry symbol _start; not setting start address
What do you get?
Thanks!
Jay.

Running Modern Warfare 2 on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty.
My hardware is Intel Core i7 4GB ram, Nvidea GeForce 310m graphics card. I installed my graphics drivers in Ubuntu 11.04 using the recommended techniques. My video drivers are noted as experimental however all features and 3D support is working in Ubuntu 11.04 gnome environment. I did not use the .run file downloadable from the Nvidea website. I have read the sticky about no sound. I have no sound

ssh 'connection reset by peer' problem: updates
Hi,
The new interesting piece of information regarding the problem I (and others) reported here on February, is that it's reproducible on some Cisco-firewalled networks.
I concluded that because that's what my workplace is using, and also seen this report on https://www.nowhere.dk/articles/natty-narwhal-problems-connecting-to-servers-behind-cisco-firewalls-using-ssh
I've also

This is a test that Fariborz has been working on with Clang. It is possible that llvm-gcc is expected to fail it, if this is so, the test can be put in an #ifdef __clang__.

bug en funcion 'agrep'
Estimados R-users:
Estoy intentando usar la función 'agrep' para hacer búsquedas en
cadenas de texto. El parámetro max.distance permite controlar la
medida de aproximación de búsqueda de la función de Levenshtein. No
obstante, cuando hago búsquedas específicas no obtengo siempre el
resultado deseado y no se si es un bug o que no entiendo bien el
algoritmo de búsqueda. Por

Ubuntu Natty / WINE / iTunes, uninstall
Hi all,
I installed Ubuntu Natty Narwahl ,then WINE and finally iTunes (using WINE) but have found iTunes is simply too slow and many features don't work as they should. So I've decided to do away with iTunes and just stick to one of the Linux players.
However, whenever I use the WINE uninstaller, the progress window says the operation completed but the iTunes (and Bonjour, etc) names,
