Hi Chris,
AFAIK every open wiki works like this.
I think we should restrict accounts to people that ask for it in the
mailing list. It won't eliminate

Not much, but there is one thing where it's better: you don't have to
give commit access to the trunk to someone who only needs to
contribute to the Wiki.
Commits can be reverted, yes, but wrong commits cause confusion for a

Hi Chen,
In theory, the bare minimum would be to clean it up once in a while,
delete the offending accounts and keep an eye on rogue changes.
Spam is only the most obvious problem in

I think I could remove the trash first so that Chris will not
shutdown the wiki. :-)

Hi,

I think the wiki is a pretty good place to let people contribute their
knowledge about llvm. What things a maintainer need to do?

wiki spam
Hello,
I''ve spotted some new pages (probably encrypted) in the wiki:
http://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Special:RecentChanges
I deleted it''s contents but someone might delete the pages at all and check
the user registration logs to block them.
thanks,
André

defending the wiki
Hello,
There was some wiki butchery done.
Meanwhile it is reverted.
( See http://syslinux.zytor.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Recentchanges
for mor information about it )
Could a captcha[1] be added to the syslinux wiki
to have some form of defence?
Cheers

Wiki deuglification Part I
Hey guys,
I toyed around with the Wiki today to deuglify it a little bit. I used a
theme which is a bit of a "CMS" theme for MoinMoin and played around
with the logo colors.
The theme is based on the plsavez theme, which I like as it has a very
uncluttered interface for people who aren't logged in - they only see
some important interwiki links (FrontPage, RecentChanges and so on),

Project website is now a Wiki
Hello,
The tinc website, which previously was hand-crafted HTML, has now been replaced
by a Wiki, powered by Ikiwiki (http://ikiwiki.info). The contents are still
very similar to those before the switch, but already some new features are
available: the site now uses CSS for the layout, and RSS and Atom feeds are
available from the news and RecentChanges pages.

Hi Chris,
It originally was (I still have the source html), but to make it
easier for people to contribute, we thought it'd be easier to put on a
wiki.
Me, Talin and Devag had a

unsubscribing because...
I think it's a sad sign when the mailing list is more about how to
manage access to the wiki than actually managing contributions and the
content. I don't really have any confidence that centos wants a
vibrant community. The recent change list at
http://wiki.centos.org/RecentChanges
isn't really a good sign.
Sorry, but I felt if I simply unsubscribed and disappeared quietly,

[LLVMdev] Debug Information Wiki Page
Hi All,
We've been working on a wiki page to help people build debug
information in their own front-ends:
http://wiki.llvm.org/Debug_Information
It's definitely a work in progress, but it already has the basic
format and how to create the basic information (line, functions,
variables, basic types).
It's not complete nor completely accurate, so if you do spot a
problem, please be
